What is this bug?

only thing i see in the growfaqs bug id pics that look similar are flea beetles, but i dont think it is, i'll keep looking, heres the flea beetle pic anyway though.......I dont think its gonna be a problem for you, its probally harmless to mj.
just watch your plant closely if you cant confirm if it is harmless or not and you'll be fine

Hey thanks for the help. They just showed up in my veg room, I was thinking that they might be aphids

uh oh, it looks awfully similar to these
,i thought aphids were much smaller than they are, thats why i didnt think of them. you might be right bro.......this pic here is also very similar looking. you should err on the side of caution and treat your plant for them a week or 2 just in case they are actually aphids and it laid eggs or asexually reproduced and given *birth* to live female copies of itself.

They are actually pretty small, that is a small leaf in the pic. Here is a pic from farther back.

If those are aphids you will be able tell because they have spikes in the back called cornicles. I can't see the back of your bug particularly well but you can see them very clearly in darkdestruction's second pic. See those little tube shaped things on their backs towards the end? Aphids use those to secrete defensive chemicals. I don't think your bug has them but it's hard to tell. I would recommend a wide spectrum insecticide like neem oil or perhaps pyrethrin if you notice any damage.

Yeah, looked for the spikes and can't tell. I looked under my 30 power glass, but couldn't tell. I don't know what else they could be though. I have foliar treated with azatrol and drenched today with azamax. I let my coco dry out completly. I am also going to cover my medium with diatomatious earth when I move to flower. If they are aphids, I may be fighting them until spring when I go outdoors and have a chance to let my flower room sit for a few months. They have so many ways to breed and multiple life cycles..uhgg :/

How did you get rid of them? What worked for you?
I used organocide per instructions
It killed my entire grow, I had to start over. This was early on though, I'm sure I fucked something up judging by the results at least.

Ahhhh.......Thats a Weed Beetle or more widely known by scientists as "facup myplantious"
