definantly root aphids. im almost willing to confirm for him! based on everything said in the post. Are you in cali? Ive read and heard numerous acounts of these coming from the dispenseries. in the last few years they have been spread all around California. interested in hereing more peoples ways to get rid of them. I just got em back, after about 4 months of cleanliness. Fuck root aphids. they give me the creeps. In MY expereince: i first thought i had fungus gnats. Only found a few at a time, didnt really worry. Suddenly one day i got in close with the bottoms of my plants and found a ton. So i bought so GoGnats. some wholy organic shit... Dropped it once and thought i was moving on with my life... let the soil dry up a bit, went back to feeding...week later, tons of 'fungus gnats'. THAN, i decided to pull off an infested leaf, and look at it up close. put it under the 30x mag and boom what do i see. (the same thing in the op's picture) so thats where i started getting creeped out. some were pale green and others brown. all of em look like little beetles or lice or ticks whatever. Went to hydro store and they suggested GH azamax. At this point i was a few weeks into flower, didnt really want to use pesticides, but decided it was the only option. I drenched them heavy with azamax and this appeared to take care of the issue. I let em finish out, and they barely yeilded. I started treating my vegging plants with azamax regularly drenching every 10 days or so. THAN i think i slacked off a bit. (ohh ill az that one tomorrow and forgot) NOW, some of my flowering plants are showing classic root aphid symptoms ( ca mg deficiency, slower growth) and i have started to see flyers. I guess ill have to azamax the ones i think have the problem. the cool thing is the ones that have been treated well dont get a single bug.
Let us know if neem works. Ive heard it doesnt. But id rather SEE that it doesnt, or better yet does! these fuckers are tough because they have hard little shells
