Ok, growing outdoor with a mix of ocean forest and happy frog. Was told Ive been overwatering so I let it go about 4 days without water. I watered it yesterday and today a few leaves show this. Its not all over the plant, but it does concern me. Im in a 5 gal bucket, starting to show signs of flowering. I also recently gave it a little bit of big bloom. WHat do you think??photo(2).JPG1.JPG

Looks like local stress from light, heat or a splash of nute solution. Nute solution can locally burn leaves. cn

Alright, thats some good advice. Im worried that this might be related to over/underwatering, or my plant outgrowing my pot. Does this look consistent at all with those problems?

probably not a pot issue. you would have yellowing and dying leafs all over if that was the problem. starting from the ground and moving up in my own experiences with being root bound. could always pop the pot off and look next time you give it a good watering.

I do have some yellowing and crispy/dry looking leaves down low, though not much. And I thought it was semi normal for lower leaves to get a little yellow. Two things that I noticed though... One is that a few of the yellowish leaves got worse during the time that this brown stuff appeared, and that most of the leaves that look bad are coming right off of the main stem. Side question, how much water should a plant about 2 feet high from soil, semi bushy, be consuming per day? It gets pretty hot here, this week mostly in the 90s.

I've had them consume a gallon (added to a seven-gallon cloth pot, and that's about as much as the soil would take) in two to three days at that size, but it wasn't really hot yet. cn

Some times its easy to over water. If ur outdoors they can grow on a gallon a week. No less. Some of my spots are very difficult to go to and with multiples patches I had problems getting water to them. It is very hot in Ga these days. I try to get my plants water every few days. Alot of nubes make the mistake of overwatering. Outdoors as long as you have dug the proper bed that will retain moisture ur ok. 5 gallon pot the same thing as long as ur growing medium is done right. Ive never done the indoor thing but I am considering it. This is just how Ive always done my gurls. Im sure in a different condition this may not work. My rule of thumb is if I feel down in the soil 5" n feel moisture its ok. It definitely does not have to b wet all the time.

Nutes will fuck ur shit up quick. Me Im gonna stay organic. Although Im definitely open minded to my fellow growers techniques.

I've used hardcore inorganic nutes in soil with good results. The trick is to tiptoe in and be mindful of the potential for poisoning 'em. Jmo. cn

Since the plant grows (obviously) the leaves at the bottom are not going to recieve the same amount of light anymore because the leaves above them block it. so its ether its that or to me that looks like a kind if burn but i do not see it present on any others leaves plus its on the bottom :D

Take off leaves that are 50% damaged. They won't recover and are a waste of energy for the plant. Plus it will look instantly better and then u can concentrate on the new/future growth.

You put a gallon of water in a plant sitting in a 7 gallon of soil every 2 or 3 days for indoor growing? ( just want to be sure because i put around half a gallon every 3-4 days and my plant look pretty healtfull besides my light setting diet. )

Nothing to worry about. Clip it and forget it. If it keeps happening, I would suggest a total flushing with ph-ed distilled water then let it sit for a week with light watering. Looks like one of if not theeee original fan leaves.. They die.. But this is a little traumatic.

When it needed it.

When I repotted from a two-gallon to the seven-gallon pot, I "watered the plant in" thoroughly, which saturated the soil. That time I didn't water for eleven days, and could probably have gone another day or two. The bigger the plant (and its root system) became, the quicker it dried the soil. Toward the end I watered (with bloom nute; the soil was exhausted by then) every day or second day. I taught myself to get pretty good at estimating the plant's needs by the weight of the plant&pot. A few times I allowed it to dry out to the point of starting wilt, and this provided a checkpoint for how light was too light. All this was in late winter and early spring, before temps came up. cn

I have the exact same thing going on with a male that I've been leaving outside. The strange thing is that he started to put out female flowers on one of the branches I super cropped.

Ok, there is something here that people don't seem to understand. When you have an autoflower,,, their life spans are very short when compared to the master strains that they come from. Original fan leaves are going to die rather soon. Just as if you had a 7 month big brother going into flower.. The fan leaves die. This is an acceleration process of such fast genes. No big deal.
The nice thing about autos is that you can darn near kill them and they will still produce. And don't forget the 2 days total darkness and flush before harvest..
