27% thc (rated, not sure if mine was that %..)
5 1/2oz / plant x 5 under 2 - 600W hps..
veg'd under 600MH for 1 1/2 months.

*only thing is.. they were NOT dense at all.. just real huge.. like 2L pop bottle big.
6ft tall each.. inside 2gallon black plastic pots.. with promix, used liquid bat guano, and liquid worm castings.. and a little 30-10-10 & 10-60-10 (plant prod), also a little super b+.. not much foliar feeding, and i think some dehydrated lime or dolomite lime i can't remember now.. also a bit of epsom salts..

nothing is close to the power.. nothing. every single person that tried it came back and agreed that it is way too powerful and stunk WAY too much.

*i would post pictures.. but somehow i can't .. i try and the files won't upload.. they just get a ! beside them in the file manager app thing.. (anyone knows why let me know in a PM thanks)

what i think he is saying is that is pretty much an unanswerable ?.. every one will have their thoughts on it for sure, but its pretty much inmeasurable and has way too many factors that come into the equation .. what sized lights, what nutes, growing style, etc are just some of the many factors that will effect a plants yeild and potency.. and on top of that, what one may think to be super potent, may not do that much to another person..

So typically higher potency strains = less yield ?
That is not necessarily the case at all. Typically sativas have a higher THC to CBD ratio but the caveat is that they take longer to flower. They can certainly yield well but given the amount of time it takes for them to flower, there is some opportunity cost there in regards to a strain that finishes faster. These days, more than 90% of the varieties available from seed banks are a blend of indica and sativa which can cause sativas to finish faster and not grow as tall. That being said, there will always be some give and take between the variables of structure, time to maturity, yield and potency.

I've got a question for you all. What is the best setup for growing high quality marijuana? There is no answer. Gene's and enviroment play the biggest role. And the cannibis Cup might be a place to look for highest yeild and potency vs. strain. I've seen guy's pull seeds out of weed that was rather unimpressive and grow very good smoke. So it's back to technique and practices. Just my opinion. Good luck

Ahh ok thanks bro, so theres no strain that over all produces world record sized buds?.... like if every strain was grown under most optimum conditions they would all pretty much turn out the same? Thats what their saying right? I find this hard to believe like religion

noxzious: no more potent does not mean less yield necessarily.. depends on the genetics, IF it has a high yielding type/kind/strain in it's genetics then it will POSSIBLY yield high if the main conditions are right for that to happen, depending on what those genetics need to yield up fully.

and what i meant by 'power' is the KNOCK OUT / LETHARGIC / BODY effect, while at the same time completely blurring your vision and max relaxation to red eyes.. that this kind has in particular compared to others that i have experienced.

and NO they are not saying that all kinds will yield the same or be the same potency in optimal conditions.. the thing you are somehow failing to understand is that different kinds come from all over the world, some grow huge in the wild and some barely survive and the ones that barely survive at times are REALLY GOOD.. so people cross their 'goodness', whether it be there taste, color, smell or effect.. or whatever else they like about it.. maybe it's shape.. maybe it's height or it's thickness of stalk.. but the fact is everything comes from different places and requires different conditions for the environment they are now being grown in to be optimal, and you will never fully simulate their OPTIMAL environments, so instead there are tried and true methods out there that work to bring out respectable yields out of any kind no matter what they are, cause plants all still need the same TYPES of nutrients, but just each strain requires different amounts of each, depending on that 'type/kind/strain's nutrient metabolism for each specific nutrient.. maybe the type came from somewhere VERY HOT and very little water, which would slowly in time cause THAT type/kind/strain to be more heat resistant than one that came from somewhere cooler, and it may want LESS water than another kind that maybe came from a rain forest type situation where the conditions were cool and very wet..

there are many many traits that a cannabis plant can be judged by or be different than another because of.
