I use mylar. You can find it at Lowes. I know some people who have even used those emergency camping blankets and they worked well too. I guess second best would be to paint your walls flat white. I don't worry about the floor because the plants will block out all the light anyway. I would not use aluminum foil. It may cause hot spots.

white is the best for any kind of plants. if mylar kinks or gets creased it can burn you plants from making a light reflection on one part of the plant. I recommend White or Getting Bubble foil from home depot because that cant crease easily.

use marine white paint. mylar is good but unless you are perfect at putting it up, it wrinkles and gets dirty. paint you can wipe off. Try to wipe off mylar...Marine white reflects just as good or better.

Matte white. Super-White if available. Best diffusion/return of light. Lights plants from many angles, no hot spots, all good.

The very best is a material known as lighting reflective covering. Its rated at 99.9% reflective but its exspensive. Then would be 3 mil mylra then 1 mil mylar, then flate white paint, then at home depot they make an heating insulation wrap that comes in rolls and is also xray and ir reflective but only rates at about 80% reflectivity and cost some bucks also.If you have a large grow room like 8x8 or bigger the flate matte white paint is the way to go with about a 95% reflectivity use matte not gloss..Never ever use aluminum foil and the wal mart emergency blankets well thats not mylar it llok like it but its designed to let light pass though then to retain the heat so it doesnt reflect to well and will hold in heat its a last resort for reflective purposes but has its uses..sincerely FilthyFletch

does any body her use that glue paper?
places ue that stuff for photagraphy and art stuff,
but it could help the crease problem.
i think you could find it at an art store of some type,
but you heat up the paper and it melts into a glue,
i figure glue paper, foil, and a rolling pin would fix those creases if you cant get anything else

Panda plastic is 4mils, This is way thicker then 1mil mylar that will tear, If it dosnt tear on install, it will tear when you clean it after all your foliar feed nutes dry on it. Panda plastic takes a good cleaning and remains pure white. You can also take it down, drape it, walk on it, ect. The difference between 90% reflection and 95% is negligable.

Panda plastic is also light proof at that thickness, what makes it really trick is you can easily take it down and put it back up, you can also use it to section off veg/flower rooms shower curtain style.

Somewhat of a old link but I'll try it anyway. Is anybody here using the reflective insulation in rolls. I saw a few post back the mention.I thought I had a brain storm when I found it in H.d.. I went on E_Bay and found it for $9.99, 14.00 shipping. For a 52"X25'. Ordered and am waiting for it to come. Is this going to work or back to sq.1.

i've been building my room in my spare time for about a week now. I picked up a 100' x 10' roll of 6 mil panda film at the local hydro store for about $80. I did my 12' x 12' room top to bottom as well as my tables and still have a shit ton left over. I used mylar on my first grow and it was a bitch tryin to put it up and keep it all nice looking solo. I recommend panda, but what do i know im still a rookie!

what about mirrors, sorry if dumd question first timer
they aren't as efficient at reflecting light as one might think
no too mention the weight and cumbersomeness off the things...

you'd be much better off with white paint than with mirrors

I use silver mylar now just because it has a pro finish look to it , The white plastic mylar worked better ,
