Good post.
I would love a tent. I grow in rooms/cupboards etc which works for me ATM.
However, a tent can be easily moved, hidden etc.
When the SJ is mentioned (which is what i am considering), do you mean the DR or DS ones?
When referring to Secret Jardin tents, most people are usually talking about the Secret Jardin DR (Dark Room) Pro II series.

i plan on having a smaller probably 3x3 or 4x4 tent for my (a/c) room.where i will have a window unit hanging out of it.In this room will be by res's and ballast ,water chiller anything that produces heat or needs to be kept cool. The size of the ac will be over kill for the 10x10 tent able to heat/cool a room twice that size .I plan on pulling the air from this room to cool my lights ,and to cool the bigger 10x10 tent .I will have a carbon filter pulling air out of the tent as well when the c02 is not on .I will cover all the tents duct holes and air flaps that arent in use to create an air tight room.In the 10x10 tent i will have my flower ,and my mother, veg ,clone room .7x 10 for flower using 3 to 4 600s ,and the veg area a 3 x10 running some 2x4 t5 floros .

LOL you're over thinking this big time. Not many buy the Gorilla tent because it's over priced and the SJ tent is comparable. Gorilla maybe a better tent on paper, but it's like paying $300-$400 dollars extra for a tent that can hold 500lbs instead of buying a tent that is just as good, but can only hold 400lb when realistically, you'll never ever need to hold more than 200lb max if that. The 2 best tents on the market are SJ and Gorilla. Also, no tent is going to be all that air tight, and you do not want one to be air tight. You want fresh air to be able to be pulled into the room at the very same time that your hot, carbon scrubbed, C02 depleted air is pulled air out of the room. This will create a suction within the tent that will keep odor from escaping, i.e., airs pulled in and not escaping out.. If you have an air tight tent, you'll not only create a vacuum effect (like air leaving a balloon), but you'll suffocate your plants as well (unless you plan on buying a C02 filter). No matter what, there will be some odor, but as long as you're using a Carbon Filter and Inline Fan to pull air out of the room, you do not have to worry about any overwhelming odors... You seem to be leaning towards the Gorilla tent, so why not get that one? You can't go wrong with either...
a co2 filter?

Umm, no. They do dark street and dark room series. The Dark street are cheaper and gaining popularity.

Again, key words in your statement "gaining popularity", as in, it's not the most popular. As I stated, "most people are usually talking about the Secret Jardin DR." The most popular is the SJ DR120 II. The Dark Room series is a better tent than the Dark Street Series, which is the reason why it cost more.

I am setting a 8x4 Gorilla Tent tonight. I have a 5x10 Secret Jardin II and a 4x8 Secret Jardin II as well. The Secret Jardins are very good. 2nd Best. Just taking the gorilla out of the bag, the weight of it, the steel locking poles, triple or more thickness, more ceiling poles, 12" taller (Big deal for me!). Gorilla is a whole nother level. I'll put up some pics in a few.
Pics would be great I've been wanting to purchase one and a comparison would help.

I have a 450$ 10x10x8 in the Garage, I can't remember the bran name but it is basically shit. The zippers break, and the threads come undone at the seems. I would recommend (highly :0 ) to find a used one on Budtrader or e-bay. I have more gorilla tape and added insulation that I should have just made my own tent to begin with. I am pretty sure the tent was stamped by hydrofarm too. I would also submit to you that EVERY grow ten made is from China anyways and the threading/ zippers will be for shit.

Why is Garage capitalized? i don't know either.

Thanks for the feedback Everyone. I am going with the gorilla, i think the extra money will be worth it in the long run.But keep the info and photos coming ,i will be out of town for a few weeks when i return my tent should be here and i will give a detailed reveiw and couple of pics. THank You All

Hello Everyone, I am looking to buy a 10x10x8 Grow tent.I was wondering if someone with some experience using a tent of any size could recommend one, and share their likes and dislikes about tents. I am looking at two different ones , a Virtual Sun Grow Tent - for$419 at 600d thread count, or a Gorilla Grow Tent for$1318 (Damn thats HIGH) at 1680D thread count. My main concerns are air tightness, and noise.I plan on sealing off all unused port holes and windows that are in the tent except for the one entrance(to get in and out ) and running c02. I will have another 3x3 tent where my a/c will be running in and supplying the aircooled hoods with cold air and the room with cold air via two different 6in ducts.Any suggestion would will be much appreciated ? THank You :?:
Havnt used a tent that size before, rooms yes. I would recommend the gorilla or lighthouse tents. I just recently purchased a gorilla 5x5 and am waiting for it to show up. The one on display was the nicest ive seen if you have the bills to spend. only other was a 5x5 light house brand tent purchased on amazon and it was well made and was around 200 maby a little less. hope that helps
