What is going on here? Plants 3 weeks into flower...

OK this is my second round of growing and I am hoping I did not get PM. My temps are around 80, my humidity is around 60% and I am growing in large sips with living soil. I noticed this leaf problem after I had sprayed sulfur on them more than a month ago. This is a CBD plant called Guava Jelly from Dark Heart Nursery.

What do you guys think the problem is and maybe the solution is.

Thanks

Looks like thrip damage to me. I know because I've been battling them for months using safer soap. Finally got them under control using neem oil. Look under the leaves, if it's not PM then you have a pretty big infestation based on the looks of the leaves.

That looks like bug damage which is bad at three weeks into flower and the buds are already forming. No matter what you spray on them you'll have some kind of residue on the flowers.

The under leaves look ok, what in particular should I look for. I got 11 hours till lights on again.

Also, I was playing with one of those bugs in the picture before I killed him, that guy was jumping like crazy.

That's some sort of mold on the leaves. I've had thrips a few times and they make see-thru windows on the leaves. You'd be able to see them all over the plants if it were an infestation. It's quite possible you have some tho and I've beat them a couple times just by hunting them down and squishing them. A magnifying glass helps to find he smaller ones tho the adults are easy to see with my reading glasses on.

I would spray with a potassium silicate product to combat the mold/mildew. Won't mess up your buds and will make the plant more able to prevent mildew in the future.

1-2ml/L is enough to do it.

More air circulation will help as well. Get another oscillating fan on them if you can and try to reduce humidity. Bit nervous about my RH for the first time in ages. Usually really dry here but we've had nothing but cool, wet weather this summer and I'm on the 10th day of 12/12 with a crowded room. Temps are also around 80 with the RH at 60+.

Good luck!

Thanks for the help...

Also I noticed the leaves are shiny where the damage is and when I hold a leaf up to the light it, I can see little pin holes, not many maybe 10 or so on a leaf.

Thrips feed very methodically. They will make little windows in leaves that you don't have to hold up to a light to see thru. If it is early in an outbreak then you have a good chance to beat them down by hand. It's actually pretty easy to do but takes some diligence so get some good tunes playing and something to sit on and spend an hour+ every day to get rid of them. They do leave shiny patches on tops of the leaves tho too with recent feeding.

Problem is if it is powdery mildew as well as I suspect you will be helping to spread it around the plants tho the bugs will do that as well.

I just finally got rid of mites that had plagued me for two years and a close inspection of all 12 plants a couple days ago didn't turn up a one so finger's crossed that I never see them again. I would much prefer thrips.

So get a ton more sticky traps and start placing them everywhere along with the satisfaction of squishing them, sounds like a plan.

If it is just thrips, how long will it take to show a recovery?

thrips afre a nightmare to get rid of,you also have the larvae in the soil to kill

they are born in the soil, move to the leaves to suck sap from leaves, then drop back down to the soil to lay eggs,,they are also hamaphroditic andd dont need another thrip to breed

Neem oil works good but since you are flowering you might have to ride them out. In the meantime use sticky traps.
