what is colas?

colas are the main big bud, if you do not top or bend a plant it is the bud in the center that is huge, i had topped at the 3rd true node, which is the 3rd branch with leave, and that created 6 tops now, so instead of getting 1 fat top and a bunch of popcorn buds, i will have 6 main colas and hopefully only a couple popcorn buds.

LST is low stress training, it is a way to bend and shape your plant to do what you want it to do. lets say you bend it to the right, the branches on top of the horizontal branch now will get more light and start growing towards it so you would have more bud sites getting more light, if you do too much though you can stress out a plant and turn it hermieits a sugary carbonated soft drink. e.g. Pepsi cola, Coca Cola.

If you are new to growing and I'm assuming you are due to the question, you should not worry about LST, just do the most basic grow you can do, you willlearn much more this way than tying hundreds of strings to your plant when you don't even know what the PH run off of your soil is, or how much PPM you nute solution is going to be, or when you will cull the males and keep the females.
nah ive grown before just never heard the saying cola so i was wondering i was just introduced to LST so my first grow under CFL's is going to be done with LST since i have almost no room to grow the plant so more i can put on them the better
