What if...

Mahmoud only seeks the Hidden Imam, he doesn't fear us at all. he believes his prophecy will come true. Obama is not even a hurdle for him.

Correct you are. Knowing what a nutcase the Iranian president is, how comforting is it that Mahmoud is only a shadow of the Imam's reflection?

I saw signs a few months ago he was might lose in the upcoming election, but it seems like that was a false hope. Just like prophecies are...

Pretty much agree, Obama is screwing shit up badly, spending too much, appointing people with conflicts of interest, and doing the exact same stuff our presidents have been doing for decades.

Your admiration for Palin is kind of confusing. I personally think she's one of the stupidest politicians I've seen in a really long time, maybe with a few exceptions, and the republican party made a huge mistake running her as VP with McCain, I could tell that from the very beginning, right when they announced her. She's a young earth creationist (which alone is enough for me to not vote for her), she disregards science and common birth control practices, she presents herself more like a showgirl and not so much a politician with all the winking and smiling for the cameras, not to be nit picky but that shit is annoying and she does it really often... she does not have the leadership qualities this country needs a VP to have, and that's definitely not to say that Biden does, because that idiot doesn't either...

The republicans best bet to win the nomination next election is without a doubt, Ron Paul. If Ron Paul and Kucinich ran together and got the same media coverage as any of the other candidates, they would win the election and the country would benefit for it. I was really dissapointed to see the way his campaign turned out.

When they keep proping up people like Palin and Jindel, it just makes the republican party look bad, which is bad for everyone in the long run. I don't want a democratic president and a democratic house and senate, there's no regulation or control, whatever daddy wants, daddy gets, almost no way to stop it, which is what we're seeing now. They would get a much better response from the rest of America, hell they might even reach a couple left leaning people who are tired of the same old bullshit both parties have been offering for so long, if they would listen to actual good ideas, not just oppose whatever the democrats come up with...

As for your theory that the media is smearing Palin, even after the election, because the left is afraid of her... two things; 1. I havn't personally seen anything on Palin in a while, I don't remember the last thing, I think it was when they were reporting her clothes to be worth more than $100K, but that was a while back... and 2. I honestly think she's turning more republicans away from the party than bringing non-republicans in, I don't think that's the reason the media would still be slandering her, if they are...

So you haven't heard about this nonsense?

ALLEGED CONFLICT: Governor wore arctic cat gear at iron dog.

The second ethics complaint in a week filed against Gov. Sarah Palin alleges a conflict of interest when she wore Arctic Cat logo gear during this year's Tesoro Iron Dog snowmachine race.
Story tools

Arctic Cat sponsors Palin's husband, Todd, in the world's longest snowmachine race -- Big Lake to Nome to Fairbanks.
Palin, in a press release, said it's all bogus.
"Yes, I wore Arctic Cat snow gear at an outdoor event, because it was cold outside, and by the way, today, I am wearing clothes bearing the names of Alaska artists, and a Glennallen Panthers basketball hoodie," Palin said in the release. "I am a walking billboard for the team's fundraiser! Should I expect to see an ethics charge for wearing these, or the Carhartts I wear to many public events? How much will this blogger's asinine political grandstanding cost all of us in time and money?"
Linda Kellen Biegel, a Democrat who blogs under the name "Celtic Diva," said in her complaint that Palin "improperly used her position and state resources to serve her personal financial interests by being a walking billboard for Arctic Cat, a private for-profit company and family business sponsor."
A photo on the state Web site shows Palin in a bright white, green and black Team Arctic jacket kicking off the start of this year's Iron Dog. A photo of her in the Team Arctic jacket and matching pants accompanied an on-line Sports Illustrated article on Todd Palin and the Iron Dog.
Biegel said it's her first ethics complaint against Palin.
Palin's administration has faced 10 other ethics complaints. One filed last week accused Palin of improperly posting a political message on the state Web site during the presidential campaign. Six of the 10 complaints have been dismissed, Palin has said.

The governor hit the roof over the latest accusation. "Are Alaskans outraged, or at least tired of this yet -- another frivolous ethics charge by a political blogger? This would be hilarious if it weren't so expensive for the state to process these accusations and for me to defend against these bogus harassments," Palin said in Tuesday's written release.
Palin had no agreement with Arctic Cat to wear the gear, her spokeswoman, Sharon Leighow, said in an e-mail. Leighow said she didn't know whether Arctic Cat donated the clothing.
In an interview, Biegel responded: "I'm pleased to see that our governor supports our local artists and sports teams but I believe she's missed the mark when it comes to what this ethics violation is all about." Arctic Cat financially supports Todd Palin's snowmachining, benefiting the whole family, Biegel said.
Palin did not specify in her latest financial disclosure how much Arctic Cat's sponsorship was worth in 2008. The company provided a "Discount on Snowmachines," the disclosure said. In 2007, the sponsorship was worth $7,500.
To defend against various complaints, the governor has accumulated legal bills of more than half a million dollars, she said last week.

Hahah...nonsense. I hardly think Palin is a dummy. She's a hard worker, with a hard working hubby. They represent Alaska well and I'm sure she will get reelected if she runs for governor. The folks up there still respect her and understand the lower 48 doesn't have a clue. That pipeline was a HUGE success and the entire country will benefit from it. No one else could get that project off the ground, but she did. Hardly dumb. And i don't think she would have gone for a complete Governmental power grab if Mccain had won. I wasn't big on McCain, but these two were CLEARLY the lesser of two evils and that fact is being brought into focus more each and every day.

perhaps, but it depends on the outrage of the american citizens by then. Lots of folks already realize they have made a terrible mistake, but like most things, are reluctant to admit their mistakes in public.
As long as we can keep voting anonymous, things will work out next time around.

your so full of shit...obamas approval rating is almost 70%.....I think your the one that made the terrible mistake.

Polls are misleading and I'm not surprised you pick the slanted ones. Since i have already posted on how ppl are reluctant to admit their mistakes.... i won't even go into the VAST economic ignorance within the general population.

Here's an excerpt from Amy Goodman for you Tips.

Amy: Our next guest is one of the great heroes to the progressive movement, the man, the myth, and the legend, Fidel Castro.
Good evening President Castro.
Fidel: Please, call me Fidel, would you like a cigar?
Amy: No thanks, Fidel, I don’t smoke, and I am sorry to hear about your recent illness.
Fidel: Oh Amy, it really hurt.
Amy: Really? How bad?
Fidel: Oh really bad. I feel like that red haired girl who tried to stop the bulldozer with her face.
Amy: Wow, that bad? Sorry to hear that.
Fidel: But don’t worry Amy, my brother will continue on with my work while I am laid up here.
Amy: Good to know that. You know Fidel, I think that if Americans knew how well Cubans lived; they would build homemade rafts and brave shark infested waters and try to sneak into Cuba. And East Germans would rebuild the Berlin Wall to keep imperialists out of their worker’s paradise. And don’t forget about Zimbabwe. Mr. Mugabe has done such a good job there, preventing obesity in his homeland.
And did you know, our whole website is translated into Spanish? We do this as a public service for Cubans living in the United States. We keep them updated on your glorious revolution.
Fidel: Thanks Amy, I have devoted my life to this work. But I do have one question for you?
Amy: Yes Fidel?
Fidel: Why has the progressive movement been so good to me, after I have killed and tortured so many people?
Amy: It’s simple Fidel; the progressives have different standards for different races and ethnic groups.
Fidel: How does that work?
Amy: Well, white people must declare their commitment to non-violence.
African-American activists are allowed to scream, “NO JUSTICE, NO PEACE” and “ BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY”.
Central American revolutionaries are allowed to kill imperialists anywhere they find them.
And of course Arabs can crash planes into buildings and blame it on Jewish Republicans.
That is how white peace activists can wear
“CHE” t-shirts.
In fact, our organization is calling for a worldwide ban on white people wearing uniforms of any kind. Whenever they do, bad things always happen.
Fidel: Wow, it’s amazing how you see things.
Amy: Yes. I see things very well. My father was an ophthalmologist, just like my dear friend, peace activist Bashir al-Assad, the honorable president of Syria. And another thing you will notice. On our website you can read how the Rwandan genocide was the fault of a short, fat Jewish woman named Madeline Albright, who has never actually been to Rwanda. And the political problems in Nigeria are caused by a bunch of rich, white oil execs. And I almost had an orgasm when I was talking about William Lee Brent, a recently deceased former black panther who shot two white, fascist, racist police officers in a multinational owned gas station and then hijacked a plane to Cuba. It was full of American imperialists or what Neo-conservatives euphemistically refer to as “innocent airline passengers”. Now THAT is what I call PEACE ACTIVISM!!!!!
One of the rules of our Marxist religion is that we never criticize non-white people no matter what they do, except Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. He is way too close to the white people. Everything they do wrong is the fault of white people, a legitimate reaction to the actions of white people, or not as bad as the actions of white people far away. We call that, “Moral equivalence”.
Fidel: Amy, I am just speechless.
Amy: You should be, this is my life’s work. And I hope your recovery goes well, so you can continue the revolution against imperialism.
Fidel: Thanks Amy. It’s always nice to hear from you. Goodnight.
Amy: Goodnight.

Here you go TIPS..... so easily misled..... hooboy.

Washington Polling Games By BRENT BOZELL III

It has become almost amusing, watching how the so-called "news" media are manipulating their own polls to keep the political weather sunny for their hero. The Washington Post kicked off President Barack Obama's European trip with the headline "Blame For Downturn Not Fixed on Obama." Of course, what was "fixed" was the poll itself.

They did the usual tricks for a more liberal sample of "public opinion" – they polled on the weekend and oversampled Democrats (36 percent Democrat, 25 percent Republican). By themselves, these things are shameless – but expected. And still that wasn't enough of a slant. Check out the way this question was asked by the Post pollsters.
"How much of the blame do you think [fill in the blank] deserves for the country's economic situation?" The choices were corporations, banks, consumers, the Bush team, and the Obama administration. There's a built-in pro-Obama bias in there already: assigning blame to Obama for the current economy when he's been in office for nine weeks just seems harsh to most people. But just because they (correctly) don't blame him as the primary cause for our current woes, this doesn't mean for a second that the public endorses his "solutions," as the Post suggests.
But the Post questioners traveled beyond natural polling for politeness. They wanted to know why we fault these sectors. Is it the corporations "for poor management decisions"? Is it the banks, for "taking unnecessary risks"? Did consumers take on "too much debt"?
These are fair descriptions, I think we can say. But now check how they identified the problem when it was a politician: Should the public blame Bush for "inadequate regulation of the financial industry"? Or is Obama to blame for "not doing enough to turn the economy around"?
What kind of left-wing pollster wrote these questions? Is Obama "not doing enough"? We're being buried in trillion-dollar Obama proposals and he should be faulted for "not doing enough"? How about the crazy idea that maybe, just maybe, he's doing too much? This question makes sense only if the goal is to assist Obama politically.
The Post drew the numbers they wanted: while every other politician and group was blamed "a great deal or a good amount" for the downturn by at least 70 percent in the poll, Obama was only blamed to that extent by 26 percent.
So Obama's trying to implement socialism at 120 miles per hour, and with a straight face, the Post reported that 62 percent of those surveyed still see Obama as a "new-style Democrat who will be careful with the public's money," while 32 percent see him as an "old-style tax-and-spend Democrat." An accurate assessment by the Post would conclude that a) Obama's accelerated socialist policies make most conservatives pine for the good old days of "tax-and-spend Democrats" and b) 62 percent of the public has no idea what is going on in Washington – primarily because they rely on outlets like the Post for their "news."
Then there were poll questions that the Post editors didn't want on the front page – or even anywhere in the poll story by political reporter Dan Balz and pollster Jon Cohen. On the front page, Post readers saw the big news – a bar graph showing that 60 percent approve of how Obama is handling the economy. But if you look at the Internet and read the actual poll, there's another number the Post deliberately left out. Pollsters asked "Do you approve or disapprove of the federal government's overall response to the economic situation?" Forty-nine percent said they supported the overall federal government response.
So who, boys and girls, is the "federal government? It's controlled by a Democratic president, and a strongly Democratic Congress. One could clearly state, then, that less than half of the public supports President Obama's economic agenda. But the Post ignored this so as to trumpet the opposite.
This is one important reason why newspapers are on shaky financial ground. Washington Post readers who are not completely on the Obama bandwagon should see the discrepancies described here and feel completely manipulated. The Post is loading on the bias, coming and going, manipulating the polls after it paints pretty presidential pictures on the front page.

So easily misled baa baa!!

What do you mean by that?

Obama's no gold medal, but McCain and Palin wouldn't be any better, would you agree?

We have to figure out a way to make sure the right people get into the right elected offices and we won't be able to do that with the media the way it is.

This whole system is designed in a way that keeps the already powerful people in powerful positions, they in turn give other powerful positions to people who they know will play by their rules. It's corrupt beyond corrupt, nothing will change till this system changes entirely, left... right... center, doesn't make any difference, as made clear by all the Obama double speak.
