midwestfarmer Well-Known Member Aug 5, 2010 #4 sativas should take 10-14 weeks. Any longer is prolly overkill. But as NBKA said, it is all strain dependent.

If you want GOOD smoke, You harvest when the TRICHOMES are the correct color, (clear-cloudy-amber-black). I'm thinking that if you let them go TOO long, they will LOSE potency, and probably rot.
