What happens if you harvest way too early?

The above answers are not exactly the truth, what type of light r u using, I always harvest at 5-7 weeks tops, but, I am growing in a 5x2 grow room with 2 400 watt lamps, a combination of HPS and MH is best, my plants are only about 2 inches from the lights with a multiple fan set-up for heat........Bottom line, your plants will be Sativa like in high, Celebral, I love Head highs so this is ok for me, if u desire a body stone, tuff nuggies!!! If conditions are optimal, 6 weeks is very reachable, Hell I usually grow and flower DP Blueberry in 6 weeks, great head high, wonderful taste, with that unmistakable body stone that accompanies Blueberry, lumens per sq ft should be at least 5000-8000, I use 9000, basically, it all depends on ur enviorment.. .
What he said..pretty much. I grow DJ Shorts Flo under high light, mixed spectrum, co2...all the toys..and I harvest in 40 days...tops. But I'm looking for that racy, can't sleep, hi energy effect.I even throw in UVB at the end hoping for some elusive thcv..

KNOWING that I'm taking it down early allows me to feed properly, so taste is wonderful....

Think of it like veal...tender,succulent ...but with a loss of yield, and not as "full flavored" as flo can get when run out longer.

I don't have a lot of experience with harvesting too early because it is a blunder. But I have done it a few times and in my experience, the impact is not so much on potency at all. In fact the last time it happened that I had to harvest a 7 weeks instead of the normal 9 weeks, the quality was as good as ever. The impact was in yield. Flowers add a lot of weight in the last two weeks.

The problem is everyone Assumes here instead of Knowing. No it won't be harsher(if you dry and cure right) just less yield and slightly different buzz.
Do you dry premature weed any differently? If so how?
I'm interested because my girl may kick the bucket soon.
This is a recent pic i took today.
Looks like they would still get me high as fuck as is, but i'd rather wait and see if she pulls through.
but just in case...
(sorry if this is incoherent super stoned)

Is it too early to harvest
How long has it been in flower? Also what is the strain? I got ripped apart pretty bad on here for an early Harvest. I'd say maybe your a week or two shy based on the pics but I'm not am expert just a guy with an
opinion. And I may be wrong. *cheers* good luck! P.S(get a good 20x mag loop and look at the trichs)

It's bubblicious
I was planning to chop on the 20th
It's doing great though major swelling of the calyx
Just no yellowing

If you don't need to chop I wouldn't until you can tell prime cloudy trichs. There some great info in the
Harvest forum. A loop will help you out I was told originally to go by the rule of 60% amber pistols but I have found that to be flawed it's all in the trichs. Again I'm not a pro but just
passing g along the info I've picked up recently.

Lets say only a small portion of the hairs are red, and it looks like it has a few more weeks to go.

Is it just a lot less potent?

Lets say it is an emergency and it has to be gotten rid of, so there really is no other choice.
Then it has to come down,i have took it down at 6 weeks it breaks my heart but sometimes you have no other option,uk cheese is one strain that taste super nice when took down early its really sweet ,but if you can all ways go for full term,

THC Vaporizes (is destroyed) at 350 degrees F. CBDs are decarboxylated at around 220 degrees F (a carbon atom is combined into the CBDs which makes them easier for our body to use). Paper (and most fibrous material) burns at 451 degrees F
Putting your bud in clear tuperware to speed dry is fine. The reason you dont want light when you're curing is to stop photosynthesis... really not a problem with a pinner nug :D
