What happened???

Hey Guys,

Well my last crop I switched fertilizer to sensi bloom, big bud and overdrive and was very optimistic. My plants looked really good the whole way through. In the end I got only 1.1 pounds off of a 1000 watt hps. I did sog style in promix over a 5x5 area in 3 gallon pots. I didn't top anything, vegged for about 2 weeks. In terms of environmental controls, my humidity was ridiculously out of control running at 100% pretty much the whole time. I also had no real temperature drop between day and night. Could this have been the reason for such a low yield? Should I be topping these? I feel like I worked really hard on these for almost 3 months and am very disappointed. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated, specifically regarding high humidity and yield.

Thanks

well i am sure that everyone will say in a environment with 100% humidity its almost impossible NOT to promote some sort of mold/rot/fungus growth.

I did have a little bit of bud mold here and there but not really a huge problem. I was wondering if this could be the reason for the low yield. I feel like I did everything right aside from this. I worked on them everyday, fertilized regularly with runoff, staked them up, etc... and still didn't come even close to my goal. I'm going to invest in a good dehumidifier and maintain perfect growing conditions the next time around, hopefully humidity is the last piece of the puzzle for me.

wait a second ...... you got .5-.7 gpw, and you think that there was an issue?? I think you pretty much figured out your own "problem" if you already know the humidity was steep the whole time. if you dont have a way to control the humidity too well and youd like to, get a bucket and fill it like halfway with rock salt and then cover it with a tshirt pulled thin over the top.

Pretty efficient dehumidifier for a smaller grow area

Other then that issue, it could just be your genetics my man. Shit aint always gonna pump out 1gpw because you got a big ass light and stay on your feeding schedule, sometimes issues are out of the growers control

I hear ya. Hopefully if I fix the humidity issue everything will fall into place. I'm hoping that the increased transpiration rate will result in more nutrient uptake and hopefully more dry weight. I just feel like I worked really hard on it, and to get half of what my goal was is a real disappointment. I am also going to work on the strain issue as well. I got some clones from a friend so I really don't even know what I am growing.

yeah man you already know what you have to do idk why youre even on a forum asking for help haha. Strain is what you need to really work on. Most people who are doing a "Commercial" or a "I smoke a fucking shit ton of weed" grow, usually grow and select a good mother to take clones from. To maximize yeilds.

never heard of using rock salt, rock salt even if it worked a lil bit wouldn't generat any heat in a cabinet grow.
