What Do You Use For Eating Roots Away?

i grew in coco and all my friends said to reuse the coco but put some chemicals in to eat the old roots away can n e 1 tell me the name and maker of this stuff?

maybe hygrozyme? I heard someone say they use worms, then pull them out. I just mix the hell out of it and let it sit nice and moist for a little bit. That being said I think you should look further into reusing coco with your growing techniques, I've heard bad things about reusing.

yeah i agree with this guy enzymes eat protiens AKA dead roots but it well probley take a while you might try screening the big stuff

I tried re-using for the first time last time around. I flushed the soil out with plain water, let it dry out a little, flushed with florakleen, let it dry a little, then watered in hygrozyme. Then I topped it off a little bit with some new soil to replace what came out with the old rootballs.

I was nervous about how it was going to work out, but it turned out to be my best grow so far. From now on I'm going to just replace my soil every other time. (BTW I'm not organic).
