yeah i used 36 ltr coolbox just cut hole in top for net pot and drill 2 holes for air lines will help with water yemp too.

Walmart has a small version of the yellow and black tuff boxes that holds around 12 gal and makes a great dwc for big plants.

No, they are small versions of the 27gal black bottom, yellow lid totes that Lowes and HD sell. Made by same company just smaller and heavy duty.

I'd go with the cooler. when the weather gets warm your water temps will too.
For my application I'm looking at an rdwc type system that includes nothing but coolers.I buy the ones with garden hose fitting at the drain.
I've built several to go from cloning to the entire cycle.

For a main res I've got 150 quart igloo , I run a chiller on it depending on it's purpose.
At times I use it to cool the room and the co2 gen and not the nutrient solution.
For cloning I use a very small cooler.
And for running the full cycle I use different sizes with different site configurations.

I have that cooler and a few others also, and a couple of the 5gal coolers, but found I had higher average temps from the insulated coolers than when running a solid body res like the heavy plastic 50gal smart bin. The insulated did not allow the res's to take advantage of the concrete floor or the lower nighttime temps in my room. Now I don't even run a chiller and res temps run 66-71.

I use 55 gallon drums daisy chained and I also use a few 150 gallon steel cage reenforced water tanks.

Rubber made are cheap, thin, allow light to penetrate and are subject to bulging and bursting. They are not close to something I would want to store liquid in.

I use the same thing as stoner suggested except larger (25gal) with red top. I had to remove insulated bubble wrap as it trapped heat even in winter (cooler months) with a submersible running. Now its running 67-70 with no issues. And its cheap!!! Also i tried a rubber maid and the sided were very flimsy but again it was the bigger model.

Was gonna suggest what Superstoner said those yellow & black walmart totes are stout & a good size for any reservoir application

If you want the best res for the money, Walmart has the "smart bin" in the automotive section. Its 50gal of heavy, thick plastic for $46.
