What Do You Think Of Texans?

I fucking love Texas. I think of low cost of living, a perfect mix of old and new, damn good food, fine women, you can golf 365 days a year or anything else you enjoy outside, and a a great drug market.
 
My FIL and SIL live in Texas, and we go there just about once a year.

I like the old cliche...."you can stand on a can of tuna and see the curvature of the earth".

El Paso is the armpit, but there are some nice places too. I like the Galveston and Houston area. Your seafood rocks.

Wouldn't want to live there though.

You really need to travel. I've been to 24 states for lengthy amounts of times and I'd say I met just as many "rednecks" up North and out West that I have in the South. Believe it or not, millions of people in the South are pretty chill, progressive types.

Edit: But everywhere I went, one thing that never failed, I always ran in to ghetto black people, EVEN IN THE FUCKING MOUNTAINS!!!!. No offense, just observation.
 
Well they have a stereotype of not being too clever and being rather gun happy, but well, Texans are pretty much perceived like most american are round here ;)
 
I'd actually like to move to texas if I could grow there. Too bad I'm in Canada and citizenship is hard to get, maybe one day I'll be able to have a small farm there or something though.

ive been to like 4 states. yeah, i get you on the ghetto thing. I have black friends, but none of them are ghetto. Are they white washed? Not at all. They just figured out how to be true to themselves and the culture they are from without being hoodrats with a bad attitude and a trashy mouth.
 
wile in japan talked to many people that had the impression that most texans rode horses and wore six shooters and all most all of them said like john wayne
 
As texans, we kno we're better than all of you, because we are. This would be THE place if only we could grow legally, and gamble legally...
