What do you think of my box

I will be running 4x23w 6500k, 4x23 2700k,2x18w 6500k
Still nothing planted yet, will later today or tomorow

I think you're going to have problems with heat unless you find a really good way to exhaust it. And - you're going to have to get some carbon if you're allergic to the smell of flowers.

Not being to be mean or anything but, i always see guys try this little stealth grows, and they wont amount to much. I mean your spending alot of time into this, for me id want to make sure i had a decent setup, to pull around an oz per plant. 4 month project to be smoked up in a matter of a few weeks. It just doesnt equate for me. However if ur new, just want to dick around learn some stuff, and arent too concerned on making out with a good harvest, just looking for a little smoke. go for it. also what are u doing whith the other side of the cabinet, are u splitting it, veg/flower. if ur not using it, it might be a good idea to take that board out and use the whole cabinet space. a little extra sq. footage, and throw a few more lights in there. could help a good deal

hahaha, for that size of a cabinet, you should build a small carbon filter. go to walmart, get 2 wire mesh pencil holders. 1 smaller than the other. get some aquarium activated charcoal, and steal some pantyhose from your mom (or buy one, which i find more embarassing). put it together, then u get yourself an efficient $20 carbon filter. go to best buy, get a nice 120mm- 200mm computer fan, find an adaptor for it. wire it up, mount it on top of your box, and u got yourself some ventilation.

cfls? very low heat. i dnt feel he should have to worry too much about that, as long its not completely enclosed, a little oscilating fan, bringing in fresh air, and pushing out stale air will do

first, i live alone, so i am not worried about the smell,
this is my first grow and i believe it will be a good start till i can invest more, i will try with 3 plants, small dont want them to get over 20-25cm, this is not stealth build, its my first build and i dont have much money, so i used what i had,
I want to know if this is suitable for the plants, my temperature inside is 21 Celsius with nothing on, and humidity 40% with no water added to pots

its not whether or not you are worried about the smell. you in fact, get use to it very quickly. it is the fact that when someone else comes over unexpectedly, (cable guy, electric man, mail man, or even a LEO) they smell your weed, your going to jail.

lol why are you doing a cab grow??? shit if its legal, then do it outside or get a bigger set up

As i said, not a lot of money, outside i cant because i have a crazy cat, and i believe in a close environment you can control everything much easier and i have a 1 room apartment, i will buy a tent in the future but right now this is what i have,
This grow will be more about learning then producing buds or quantity, i want to get a fell for it and when i start big to know what i am doing

Yes that's all good to start with,you just need to vent the box......cfl's do put off heat......and maybe make some kind of reflector or mount your bulbs horizontally,most of the light comes from the sides of the bulbs.GL.peace

should i encase all the inside of the cabinet with metalic sheet? i already bought some and was thinking of doing this

yeah its good to start with man, just get some air moving and make sure those lights dont burn ur crops

If there is any way at all you can avoid that little box you'll have a much easier time learning. You say you want a box because it's easier to control the environment? I'll be honest so don't take offence but control is what gets us into trouble. These plants know exactly what they need already, as long as you water, feed and provide light they will do fine. You ever notice on these boards there are people who have turned their grow into a massive chemistry experiment, creating and then having to deal with just about every problem at one point or another? Keep it simple brother. The less control you force on to this species the better it will do. In fact, let it control you, it will tell you when it needs something, after a while you'll know exactly what it wants before it asks. I hope it all goes well. I was in Prague in 1984, it was scary then. It's amazing you can grow bud there now, nice how that part of the world changed.

hey dude not bad but you will probably have all the issues everyone is stating above.

look at my box.. may give you some more ideas


the box can hold 2 plants at 5 feet last harvest i got 5 ounces dry

that is a decent looking box. just reflect your walls, white paint, mylar, something of the sort. wih cfl, you have to capture and use as much of the lumens put out as possible. I used 110w of cfl combined, and I got about 3/4 to 1 oz. off of my one plant, with more light and better fertz, I think I would have been better off, but I was really pleased with the $ put in to the I got out. keep it up.

I still don't understand why you are using a box if you don't have to. Your product will be inferior compared to just growing in your house. Stealth grows are a LAST option, not a BEST option. Not trying to give you shit bro, if it's what you want then go for it, good luck !
