well they are small for their age but they do look healthy and happy. they also look like they're in a shady environment and could probably use some more sunlight.

I also live in Nor Cal. They definitely need more light. What are you feeding them? I agree with tie down/ top them to encourage bushing out. Find some more sun, feed a Ph balanced meal weekly. Hurry up because there is only a month of grow left. Besides being a little short and stretched they look good :)

Just basically water.. and some mirco, grow, and bloom. what should you suggest I should feed my outdoor grow? I mix some earthworm casting with my sunshine mix advance 4 before I planted them and that's about it..

When you grow outside can it be directly in the ground? Cuz i see a lot of ppl grow in buckets outside, why is this?

They look like they are strectching a little. I noticed with my plants it usually takes about a month before the roots really take hold and then they will start flourishing.
This is my first outdoor grow so I'm experimenting a lot. I've got plants in the ground and in plastic, clay, mand smart pots. From seeds sprouted in soil and germinated and clones. One thing I've noticed I'd the plants in pots are easier to tell when and how much to water and they seem to be growing better- especially the smartpots. All the clones are slower growing and took longer for the roots to take. You will definitely notice when the roots take hold good- plants just start exploding with new growth. Mine are growing about an inch or more per day, I'm loving it. Just hang in there they'll start taking off soon, and yes you might want to top them or tie them down."When my plants are happy I'm happy".
