lmao i hear ya there. got to be careful, and no smoking while maiking oil lol
if anyone finds a good brand let me know
tinture any guide to that process
Many, many ways to make tincs.
Basicly soak with alchohol, strain, reduce. The "particulars" make a big difference.
Some use ISO 99-70 %, I prefer Everclear, or veg oil in the finals.
My method is a bit more involved than what some may be willing to endue and would take a bit of tellin.
Probably another post in that direction wouldbe wise(?). You'll get a list of ways as long as your arm no doubt.
I will say I like it a lot in my morning coffee, but purely for medical reasons. The buzz / high is totally different than smoking. More mildly / semi psychodelic (in some ways). But last for hours with a fully functional high.
I too use it for arthritis(sp?), knee joints, back & leg pains in general. For pain & still functioning I think it's much better than smoking. But, that's purely from a medicinal point of view, not so much recreational highs.
I understand that it's the most effective relief from migranes. Don't know for sure as that's one of the problems I don't have -S.
Google "making tinctures" and you could be all set.
ahh i see well id like to know yer process if you r willing to do a write up
if not id understand but is it like making green dragon?
I did a quick peruse of the posts.... yep, making butter is EASY and you can put it into ANYTHING that calls for oil or butter in a recipe. I have used it in 'Duncan hines Mississippi Mud Pie', made my favourite cookies, and even spread it on my toast in the a.m. The KEY to making butter (so you are not chewing on 'lettuce'), is to strain the butter either through a sieve or using cheesecloth (though cheesecloth is HOT to handle at the end of your simmer).
I also like to use marijuana medicinally, and I have been making tincture with certain strains (purple kush especially as it is a 'heavier' indica). The tincture can be taken internally, or used for pain. People I have given it to have found relief from arthritis, and knee problems. I either add the tincture to a 'high in plant fat' lotion like Shea butter or something similiar, and then rub it into the affected area. Another way to use the tincture is to soak a piece of paper towel, place the towel over the affected part, wrap in saran wrap, and then add heat (like you would for a poultice).
Man, there are SOOOOOO many ways to use cannabis in recipes... one I want to try soon is to make 'cannabis lollipops'....!!!
i have been finding myself lately actually doing water cures for my consumables before i cook up butters/oil...
been working out great...flavor is nearly non existent & the color is a more nutty brown to light amber.
practically undetectable.
coconut oil infusions work great in gel caps if you have a flavor injector from thanksgiving taking up space.
it's basically a solid at room temp and body temp liquefies it...doesn't store in pill form to well though.
Got to make them as you need them really. the oil stays in the fridge.
makes damn fine massage oil to boot...fingers get all tingly...gloves advised.
