He rolls around his office speaking in tongues.
The only great thing he has done i think is shut the international borders very early (like Trump should of done) during the start of Covid. Saved tens of thousands of lives.
Same here. Apparently in the US, we don't hold being witty, intelligent and well spoken to be important attributes in our presidents. It turned out that Obama was (in your opinion) but that was just an accident. I mean, George Bush? (both of them) They were a couple of stiffs and shrub was an outright moron. How about Nixon? There was a real stiff. Carter seemed nice but came off as a stuffed shirt. Reagan could glad hand and be witty when reading a script. So, I don't get your point. We don't pick presidents to be greeters at Wal Mart.

I'm glad Australia hasn't gone through what the US has. We shouldn't have gone through it either.

Fair call. I would of thought. Obama is such a great speaker and the other two are about as good as each other.
As I pointed out then, it was equating the overall quality of his successors, and Canuk pointed out how it didn’t have value.

Maybe that's another reason for the fundamental problems with the American gov. Politicians are also diplomats. Diplomats tend to speak well.

Good reply. Nice to get a discussion back.

That's the major problem of voting for a Person to lead rather than a Party. You have to be popular and your name known to win. Movie stars and tv stars and i'm guessing social media stars can have popularity despite not being qualified for the job.

So, voters in Australian elections for PM vote for a person and not a party?

Which gives me a large pool to work with. Suave speech does not correlate with good governance.

I recognize you see Joe deficient in that category. What I’m driving at is that to ding him for that seems dishonest when it implies he is a poor President.
I disagree but that wasn't the point of the original post..
I didn't say or imply he was a poor Prez.

No we vote for a party. Our PM can be sacked by their own party through leadership challengers. They would still keep their seat in Parliament of cause.
From 2008 - 2018 we had 7 Prime Ministers.

O look the Sco Mo from Marketing is off to see the puppet master

"Scott Morrison's first stop on a trip to New York this week was a private dinner with Rupert Murdoch’s right hand man, Newscorp CEO Robert Thomas.
It’s more proof of the cosy relationship between Morrison and the Murdoch press, who back home are busy spreading racism, climate denialism, and vaccine disinformation to an audience of millions on free-to-air TV thanks to a partnership with WIN and Southern Cross.
It’s a major threat to the health and safety of our communities — and must be stopped.
Sign the petition demanding WIN and Southern Cross pull the plug on Sky’s misinformation now!"

Australia had a female PM. Julia Gillard.
I must say the majority of our Politicians have to speak well.

Give it a listen if you have time.

The not picking based on intelligence became very apparent with trump :(. What was also apparent is there are a high enough number of gullible, racist dumb fucks to allow him to become one of the most powerful men on the world stage. If only you had a firecracker like Justin …. Problem solved, sunny ways ;).

Anyone who has been to Germany knows they are an organised, clean and friendly peoples.
Shame the right wing is back and grew worldwide whilst Trump was prez.
Im fine with admiring their culture/society. But when people start saying stuff like 'Germany runs smoothly no matter who is in charge, such an organised race' it seems an appropriate time to point out that Eugenics is bullshit.
But yet he jumped all over a nothing burger earlier and keeps screaming right wing spam..lol
What would you call it when someone wrongly equates someone with a stutter being selectively edited to make them look stupid to fit the right wing narrative and then posts edited click bait like Sky news that is Murdoch's propaganda rag for the Aus?
I disagree but that wasn't the point of the original post..

No, you implied he is not intelligent, that is what I took issue with.

This I agree with is the problem and why I pushed back on what you said.

Funny enough now you sound like me when I said you should listen to a full speech of Biden's and not the click bait that is selectively edited by Murdoch's trolls to make it seem otherwise because of a speech impediment.
