What do white haired plants do?

My blue widow isn't gonna have the color change because I don't have the temp change for it, and it's covered, I mean absolutely livid with hairs. If it goes white widow pheno... should I be looking for any hair color change or just watch the trichs? I'm trying to figure out how to cool it down enough but my daytime temps are running around 80 and night time around 70. I have a good amount of time before it starts getting really ready but was just curious.

dont even bother looking at the trichs till the hairs start to turn. Look for the big swell between weeks 6 and 8. wait for 70% or more of the pistols to turn then check the trichs. Cloudy/clear 50/50 mix is supposed to be peak THC, letting it go further (i.e. amber trichs) you start getting more CBN cause of the degradation of THC, this causes your couch lock effect.

also when checking your trichs, you may notice that sugar leaves have more amber then the actually buds themselves, don't let that be the deciding factor.

Also remember some strains have different patterns of trich coclor. I have a 80% sativa that starts with extremely cloudy heads and turn clear when ripe.

Right, but how do you know with white strains when the hair turns?

all strains start out white, even white stains will turn amber when mature those hairs wont stay white.

ime, white widows hair wont change quite as much and itll still have a ton of white ones, so it never hurts to check trichomes. But they don't always tell the whole story of ripeness, so go with your heart

go to radio shack and get a well lit hand held micro scope. When all the hairs turn milky/cloudy amber its ready to harvest.

Yeah I've got one, I was figuring on watching the trichs, just wanted to make sure. I don't know how a white widow/blueberry mix that doesn't have the temp to turn blue is gonna go but hey gonna find out. As you can see from the pic, I've got 4-6 weeks left and I can't even see the buds for the hairs so, I'm just making sure I have all my bongs in a row, so to speak. And I assume you meant trichs and not hairs.
