very true. and any time you add ant thing to your water most of the time the ph will fluckuate up or down. i use MG 24-8-16 for veg and use 1/2 tsp per gal at first weekor two then bump up to 1 TBS per gal checking ph every time. you can get a ph test kit from any pet stor of fish. hope this helps. goodluck:blsmoke:

I am not concerned with lumens.

Are those true watts or equivalent watts? The reason why I ask is that I cannot shake off the idea that the plants are slightly light-deprived. Even if you are running 200 watts true, you may want to consider boosting it and placing the lights as close as possible.

All in all they look pretty good. And the compost you are using should be adequate as far as feeding goes at this stage. I would wait until I saw more robust vegetative growth before I added fertilizer. It should not be long provided the lighting is adequate.

Good luck and good growing.

Good. Fluorescent lights are fairly forgiving as far as burn damage is concerned. Large margin of error. How far away are the lights now?

Back to my question on the 200 watts, is it true or equivalent?
