why would they get you high? do people just think they do when they smoke? if they get you high they would have to produce thc in this area, so what the full deal with pistils?

Emmm, I would say that they do not necessarily get you high. Unless its compressed at all then the trich's are smashed all over the place.

I will say tho, my guess is they do add some sort of flavor and or aroma. Shrug.

Te pistils are there to grab the pollen and act as a slide so that the pollen slips into the floral sheath where the seed will develop. The majority of pistils ive looked at didnt have trichomes (the part that contains THC), and look furry under the scope. But i have seen some pistils with trichomes on hem under just 60x but that could have been from contact with the floral sheath. Lamp

Pistils are what allows us to identify which plants are "Female" - what makes you assume that "people" think anything different?

they are theyre to collect male pollen then they will retract into the seed pod and birth a seed and fall to the ground and start the next generation

Wow, I had no idea that pistils do that... Marijuana plants are smart

Most alive things on this planet have a way to reproduce...I'm not sure that is really a show of intelligence. That is like calling me smart because I have a penis or my wife has a vagina.

I understand what you are getting at. Many people believe that the more hairs a weed has on it the better the weed is. I have never seen triches growing on the hairs, but that does not mean they do not have any benifit to the smoke. The THC is only one of many 60+ chemicals that affect the high. I would think that one of the other chemicals aside from THC maybe contained in the hairs, I do not know for sure though. I remember years ago my budy had a bug and when the weed was gone it was covered in hairs still so we took them and there was enough for a few bowls. We got high off it, but that would also be because there was a lot of THC glands mixed with them at that point. Good question though. I think you'd need to ask someone with more knowledge. Wish I could help you more.

and to everyone else I think he already knows what the hairs are for, that wasn't the question.
