so far i have lighting, fans, grow space etc.

i just need help with what goes on at the bottom.
i got myself a 3W air pump with a dual pump to split into three airstones each, at the bottom of the 2 x 5 gal buckets. (6 air stones total)
digital pH meter is on the way.

Nutes- Starke Ayres (ALL soluble): 1 flowering orchid nutrient - 6:20:30
2 nutrifeed - all round general hydro nute and highly recommended
3 plant food - 3:1:6

is coco coir a good choice for medium? and what complications could it bring?

(cant seem to find hydroton or perlite)

thanks all

I like coco, but I add 20% perlite. Perlite is at Lowes, Home Depot, Wal-Mart etc.

You need a ppm meter as well. You may get to a point in bloom where you're looking at a deficency caused by salt build up locking out vital nutes. You almost can't go wrong if you keep your ppm between 800 and 1200.

If you are growing in a DWC, you don't need coco or perlite. Just Hydroton.

there is no need for a media at all. just use net pots and collars. less mess and no cleaning or stepping on the hydroton.
