justin121: Is your plant growing sideways? I'm sorry, I can't tell for sure from your explanation what the problem is. I've had them grow off center and usually I could prop them up with a long tooth pick or a piece of a skinny bamboo bar-b-cue skewer when they're new seedlings. Most of the time it works. If the root has grown into the planting medium I think you're more likely to damage it if you start tearing into the pod, and on a new seedling that could be lethal. Once it gets a little bigger it should straighten itself up with a little help to grow toward the light.

yea it depends on what type of light you have how close you can have it. But im sure moving it a bit farther away wouldnt hurt it expecially if you think you may be burning it.

Justin121: lights too close is a rare problem with an Aerogarden. A/G recommends keeping the lights 1 to 2 inches above the tops of your plants. Their cooler CFL's allow us to do that without any damage.
As far as brown spots are concerned that sounds more like a nutes problem. What are you feeding your babies? If I remember correctly, they told us in class, that lights too close usually results in 'veining.' Veining is a yellowish discoloration of the area between the veins on the leaves of your plants. That seems to be just about everyone else's problem except those of us who grow with Aerogardens.
