What could cause this? (Pics)

Hi all! I'm on day 9 of my first grow. Was hoping some of you could help me out with a strange yellowing pattern I'm seeing on a couple of my plants. I am using EB Stone seed starting soil and didn't put any nutes in until yesterday after someone mentioned that the EB Stone is more of just a perlite mix and didn't have much in the way of any nutes in it. I gave them a 1/4 shot of Alaska fish fert in R/O water. This yellowing has been around for about 4 days. HELP!!!

fish fert ? is that the same as plant fert? how often are u watering them ? keep it to about once every 3 days , sounds like there getting burnt from the fert , i wouldnt put fert in until atleast past 2 weeks in , i bought the soil with nutes in it and feed my babies twice a day and fried them , lol

For the first 4 or 5 days I would just give a quick spray of R/O water just to keep some moisture at the top since it is quite warm here. The Alaska Fish Fertilizer is an organic plant fert (5-1-1). This yellowing was happening before I gave a small shot of the fert. The soil I'm using has no fertilizer in it. Three days ago I gave a good watering with about 1/4 strength fert in it. Seemed to perk them up a bit, but still have that nasty yellowing.

I reccomend never misting your leaves, even with plain water. It drains the nitrogen out of the leaves and the water droplets act like tiny magnifying glasses and create "hot spots".

A also reccomend not feeding your plants until the cotyldons (starter leaves with no serrated edges), start to yellow and fall off naturally. This is a sign that your plant is lacking nutrients.

Looks like some minor nute burn but nothing too serious. Just flush your plants for a while and don't feed again until the coltyldon start to die and fall off naturally.

I got a question for you, or anyone else. Is it me, or can you tell when your plant might need some water by the color of her stem? I noticed that before I gave the first good watering that the stems were pretty much a really light green. The day after the watering, all of the stems were like a deep purple. And today (about 3-4 days since last water) the stems are more green and almost no purple. Anyway, that was an observation that popped into my "purple haze'd" melon of mine. Will report back after next watering!

My plants do the same thing, I have 8 of the same strain growing and 3 of them have purple stalks. I think it just depends on the strain and growing conditions. Water might be a factor though. I suggest using pots with big drainage holes so you can poke your finger in the bottom and feel the moisture of the soil. That;s how I know when it's time to water.

If its still slowly growing by week 2 then one of the factors needs to be rethought.

I caught a bug on the underside of one of my leaves. I wonder if this may have been the culprit as to why these leaves look like this?

Plant's need feed bro when cannabis grow outside unaided by humans they get all there feed from mother earth dead leaf litterfrom the year gone rotting down to give them a natural feed.That is why when i do a gurilla grow i always look for the edge of a river that floods alot during winter.This will mean that there is plenty of silt on the banks intern feeding my plants.So many folk put cannabis in a small pot like you have give it no feed and wonder what the problem is you have to play the part of mother nature.
