What can I expect my average yield to be?

Just getting started building my first cabinet and was wondering how much I can expect to yield from each grow. Now I know being a greenhorn, my first grow or two will not be the best.As I'm sure there will be a lot of adjustments that will have to be made to my cabinet. Dimmensions are 70"h x 48"w x 20"d. At first i was thinking about using strickly clfs but after being on the forum for a little while I realized hps is the way to go. I'm thinking 400w with a easycool 6. I'll use clf for first week or 2 then swith over to mh to finish veg. Any suggestions on which balast to use? Want the lumetek but they are a bit pricey. Also using a carbon scrubber, but still not sure what size fan to use cfm wise. I need the cabinet to be quiet. Any suggestions and input would be greatly appreciated.

i use a VORTEX 8" fan... great fan man check it out. and if youre worried about the odor.. look at PHRESH filters.. so far i have NO COMPLAINTS!

If you use hps in a box, you will need some powerful venting. I used cfls in mine and couldn't keep it cool even though it had it's own a/c vent. When I use that again, it's going to have a blower sucking the heat out. Sorry, but I couldn't begin to guess at a yield for you. Good luck with your project.

dude i would go for a tent over a cab.ive had 2 cabs and recently built a tent and its way easier to keep cool.bigger is better.get a 600w also.u will want to go atleast a little bigger after u start.i started with a 400w but now use 2x400w.

my first harvest was very crappy. .5-.75 oz per plant.dont expect much on your first harvest.the experience is invaluable tho.
