Hey guys. My plant has just came out the soil Yesterday!
The question i have is What light is good for my grow?
I don't want to spend a ton on a light and set up.
Im thinking of using a 100watt 120v system! But very unsure of the bulb and where to buy!
Can I get a grow bulb from HOME DEPOT or do i need a special bulb like a LED?
Like I said im really not trying to spend too much! + I only have one plant right now!

Color Temperature (CT) - Color temperature, which is measured in Kelvin, indicates whether a lamp has a warm, midrange or cool color appearance. "Warm" light sources have a low color temperature (2000-3000K) and feature more light in the red/orange/yellow range. Light with a higher color temperature (>5000K) features more blue light and is referred to as "cool."
Over 5000k for veg under 3000k for flower.

Here is the dummest question you probably herd: What is veg and flower? Is veg when there is no bud on your plant/in the process of still growing? And is Flower when there is BUD/already mature?
Or is it the opposite from what i am saying, PLEASE PLEASE explain. Im still a NEWBEE!
Im sorta confused!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just want to make sure i use the right bulbs for the right time.
I think 5000k would be for a mature plant/when bud is starting to grow.
I think 3000k would be for an unmature plant./plant that is in the process of growing!
Please HELP, really would appreciate it!

OK i would recomend getting some CFLs. Vegging is the plant growing get bulbs with 6500k colour temp with a light cylce of 18/6, Flowering is where the bud starts to form and try to get some 2700k colour temp CFLs with a light cycle of 12/12.

Correct veg = growth stage and flowering is when you see those little beautiful sections of the plants we call bud.
Beginning flowering will start the buds, and harvest time is when the buds are mature.

In nature, marijuanas beginning stage, the light is a blue aka veg stage, and as we near fall, the sun has a more red to it which will induce budding. We replicate that by the color spectrum in the lights.

Veg = a cooler blue light spectrum
Budding = a redder light spectrum
(so you'll need 2 bulbs)

Most bulbs will have an indicator on them with their purpose i.e. red spectrum or blue.

Good luck and if you decide to do more of this I recommend getting "The grow bible" He does a good job of putting scientific explanations into laymen terms so us idiots and understand it on a scientific level.

One more question: what do you mean by 18/6 light cylce?
