What are your COB yields?

Enhanced Cob yields in comparison to my HPS can be found here :

https://www.rollitup.org/t/my-amare-hydroponics-hut-suncloak-grow.916789/page-23

You can find documented results a few pages prior & a few pages after the linked page as well.
Some plants yielded twice as much & others 3x as much depending on which light was compared.
Hope this helps you get an idea of what to expect.
There's also pics of both.
I've not seen any other results other than yours that state that the reason for the better yield was strictly from the red and blues added on rather than just the COBS... Any chance you would did a side by side with DIY COB and your light? Or you could send me a free one... Options are there.

You're saying I said that in my thread? Damn, I think that has allot to do w/ it as my opinion. Plus the white of course. But I can't say it's a fact. One reason being I've seen like 5 side by sides all w/ the same results & similiar HPS results as mine. I know what mine are. And the way my plants respond to all 3.
Wanted to do the side by side but I'm satisfied w/ what I have & compared it to my HPS which is the true test anyways.
Send you a free what?

I only have one run completed on my 12 cob cxb 3590 fixture (running cobs at 50 watts each) in a 4 x 4. I only yielded about 1.3, not the best but was my first run with new setup, new strain, new nutes etc. Another run on my 2nd identical fixture is 46 days in, compared to last run its looking like it should do close to 2.

Can I see a picture of that? I wanna guesstimate my run, too. But I am really bad at it due to my inexperience

Don't bother tracking weights much but when I do I use grams per gallon of medium by strain/pheno for my own reference, my medium is always the same/constant. That way for my staple phenos I can use them as control clones to judge weight output under different conditions/lights. Have a couple of control phenos in this bunch below coming out shortly, my JTR which I've been running for 3+ years has never given me more than .75 g/gal, looking like more in the range of .90-1.0 this round, first run under the COBs. idk what the gpw will be but with 600w of COBs over this 3x8', I know by glance it's definitely "about a pound" + in there ;)

Running side by side?
I noticed a few poeple are but no threads?
I have a 1K Hortilux Enhanced HPS on one side and my 600W+ DIY light on the other side of my 5x9. I had once started a log in the grow journals section but it did not get much attention so I removed it.

Plus this will just tell me what applies in my garden. So everyone would just come in and say it's not a "controlled" environment etc and they are correct.

Too early to make any determinations so far, but the HPS plants feel and look more natural there is something about the HID they like better or the straight COB's lack (IR, UVB, etc) The COB side is also a lot stretchier and the inter nodal spacing is much more on the COB plants.

We will see in the new year what happens come harvest time.

Are your HPS buds bigger?

@Hybridway I don't know yet the HPS side had the male that was culled and needed to add new plants and the two plants that were not culled are a couple weeks behind the led side. I will have more info after harvest

HPS side (taller plants two weeks or so behind LED side, smaller plants only a few days in)

I figured the veg under the 5K would have balanced it out I'm going to have to chop the tops on the bigger plant or bend them over but if I bend them they're so big they will cover up other bud sites lol this will for sure be my largest harvest to date between both sides
