Probably the first movie about D-Day landings. 1950's typical war movie but WW2 stock footage is pretty good. Generally overall good reviews.

This is only getting middling reviews but, like always, De Niro gives a solid performance and is worth watching IMO. When you're done watching ask: Could this really happen?

I was rewatching "Mad Men", I remember playing with one of those dry cleaner bags, mixing relatives drinks when I was real young. ALL the adults in the room smoking. Kid on crutches (Polio). 3 channels on the TV!
