I was going through Scorsese's filmography, and realized I hadn't seen Shutter Island. It was enjoyable, and DiCaprio and Kingsley's performances were really good. The writing was the weak point, it wasn't good enough to hide what was really going on past half way through. The plot was formulaic, but the direction (of course), music and acting made it worth watching. I'm also watching Sarah Silverman's new talk show, 'I Love You, America!' She's really out of her mind, I so enjoy her. Still sexy, too...

Sarah can be really endearing, as well as crude and crazy. In this episode, she went to Nashville to hook up with Grammy nominated songwriter, Lee Thomas Miller, to do a comedy sketch of ridiculous tunes she came up with, but ended up opening up about her painful childhood with her mother. Her single mom had severe depression, blamed Sarah and her sisters for her problems, and was often bedridden. By the end of the session they came up with this surprisingly heartfelt tune. You just never know what you're gonna get with Sarah...

Here's the entire segment if interested -

I can’t watch that show anymore. I admit I used to though. A bunch of “game changers” that don’t end up being shit lmao.
That show is the king of creating suspence, or trying to.
When I was evacutated at my friends house for that first month, my buddies were watching it, i was drunk, and I kept repeating “game changer, game changer”. My one buddy had to turn it off and they watched it after i hit the sack :-D
Game Changer! Lol!

  • Spoiler alert:

they found a box drain in Smith's Cove by pumping red dye out from H8. They verified it in a lab, the feeling is now they can go in from Smith's Cove to The Money Pit which they believe is either H8 itself, or connected closely to H8
