People call spider mites and shit without realising that the very things they are saying require plants to be there to feed on.

There are like 50000 different type of mites they feed mostly on living and dead plant or fungal material, there's also many variety of dust mites, some can feed on you while you sleep or eat dead skin cell that you loose. They look very similar to one and another so identifying the food source will be the best indicator of witch type of mites is involve.

Yes I've had them in my res before I don't think they ate my roots just the dead matter,however on the foliar I don't know!
