What are the drying techniques???

i wanna dry my buds, but i was told that they would need to be in 70degree temps and a humidity of 50%. What are some ways that I can dry my buds, and not have to worry about cold temps? What humidity should i be trying for? Is there some sorta drying box i can make thats cheap? Thanks for the answers guys.

pull/chop it,then hang it to dry in a well vented area. when its dry then put into glass jars burping every day.

depends,theres more then one way,some do it several times a day,some go all day open all night closed then repeat,heck i think even fdd does it open all day then closed at night.

ill try some different methods of drying this year .. im gonna try water curing , open all day closed all night , opened several times ... recommend anymore and ill try em lol ..

try pulling your plant up instead of chopping it,then wash the roots off,and hang the whole plant including all the leafs until dry.. then cure it/smoke some

is that suppose to be better? cause ill do it if it is .. or at least to some bud if not all if it's suppose to be better

This was taught to me by my grow mentor ,Its supposed to let all the extra flavors and thc go into the buds,whether or not its true,i do notice differences between the choppin them vs pull and dry whole,but if you have 6ft plants then its not very practical

wont have to worry about mine being 6 feet i dont think .. but it they were 7 id still do it lol

well i only have a 4fter so i dont think ill have that problem, how long does it take to dry, and what kinda temps should i be in?

Also, how do i keep the temps down when im dryin my buds? think cheap cuz im kinda tight on money rite now. i hear the ideal temp is around 70.

60-70 is the ideal drying temps lower wont hurt them though,they will just dry slower so you then have to watch for mold more.If your spending money to dry the buds somethings not right,you should be able to dry them without spending money...... if your drying spot is to warm them find a better spot

well thats my problem, it would have to be dark, and coldish to dry them, and the only thing i can think about is how to keep the temps down enough to keep them from messin up, and where i would put em.

If you have a garage then thats a good spot,they normally dont have insulated walls and stay pretty cool, other then thatjust go to wal-mart or something like thatand get a cheap fan

hahah no garage, wish i did tho. i got plenty of room in my closet, i mite just do it in there. a fan will be fine? does it have to be goin on a slower speed or should the fan be on full blast?

I would put the fan on one side of the closet and the buds in the middle or so,then open the closet about 4-5 inches if its a sliding one,then that way the air can blow out,o yeah and open the side with the fan about 4-5 inches also to suck fresh air in..Thus you have a stream of cool air going through and blowing out stagnant humid air,and keep the fan on low if its a strong fan,you basicly want a gentle breeze
