What are my options with these wandering roots?

This is a 2-month-old Blackjack female who was transplanted into this 12" pot just 3 weeks ago. I neglected to water her for a few days but (apparently) left a puddle from last watering and it looks like the roots went searching for water. Anything I can do other than transplant into larger pot? The roots seem quite healthy. Can I just cut them off and keep the plant in the same pot? What's the best option to preserve her?

Id transplant ASAP! and as Skunk said do it while they are wet, the plant will go into shock for a few days but hopefully should be back at its healthy self in no time! Good Luck and Happy Growing
