it must be a garbage led pannel because hidhut has the best led lighting th new 300 watt system puts out as much as a 1000 watt hps and are extra cool as well as you can adjust your color spectrum output to meat your plants need in the stage its in. and its only $1200 if you ask me its great as far as pricing goes since you dont have to invest in cooling and the elctric bill will be lower so not only are they more energy efficient but safe. check them out if your looking into led then hidhut.com is the way to go.

I disagree. I have used so many different LED panels. My 300's are from DH. They know their shit. The specs prob just haven't been published yet...

Only High powered LED I see on their site is a 270w, so not sure what you are referring to... Their advertising claims this is going to match a 1000w HIG, but I just don't buy it at all. They also give no info on diodes or optics, so making any sort of informed decision is basically impossible. It seems to me like you just bought the hype from the website where it says this is equivalent to a 1000w, and I can tell you the vast majority of these claims are total BS. Even assuming these are something like 270 1w cree's with 90 degree optics (or if you want mix 1w 90's and 3w 120's, or hell, any combination), they still aren't going to match a 1000w, and I seriously doubt what you are referring too are using anything that high quality as far as their components go.

It's not a UFO it's the new supernova. And no I have actually purchased these lights and they work wonders. Before I bought them I did tons of research on LED,s you would have to be retarded if you where going. To get any other led,s on the market YouTube they're video they have all the diode info on that product and show you exactly how it works

And I meant 270 on the wattage sorry about the 300 but still and yes it's 1200 for a reason. And yeah it's compared to 1000 watt hid as far as how much light it puts out but you can adjust your color spectrum settings. To the optimal color for cannabis plants. Do some research on color Spectrum before getting into LED's. These lights offer full control of your led's unlike any other on the market. lED's are fairly new in the growing industry and still under all sorts testing be careful with bunk products

So, I went and looked at their youtube video, and again, they don't give any info on diodes or optics... So still, you have left us again without any specs. Not to mention that in the video he says it is a replacement for a 600w (which is at least realistic) and then, almost as an afterthought he throws in 'up to 1000w'. Once again though, what are you basing your statement on? you have a 1000w and have run PAR tests, if so what bulbs, what ballast, what reflector, and most importantly, what par ratings at what height (usually when people post par ratings they are in the form of pictures)? Perhaps you just looked at it and decided you have become the first human quantum light meter? Once again, if they were using the Cadillac of LED's (cree), they still aren't going to match a 1000w. I apologize if you believed the hype, but if the only thing you have to back up your claim is the advertising given to you by the retailer, and the accuracy of your eyes as light meters, then I'd say your post is rather premature.

Can't help but also point out that their adjustable spectrum is a dimmer on LED banks, which means that if you are tuning it at all, you are losing PAR.

Edit: Also, $1200 is not expensive as far as LED's go, it's kinda average. This doesn't exactly look worth it to me, and the lack of spec info is disturbing.

dude im not trying to be a smart ass or anything i just know i feel a whole lot safer with them. I don't have to worry about burning my plants with height, i know that all the light emitted is being used by the plant, and i get amazing quality with them.

I know a lot of people in this business. Everyone wants to try LED since they came out. I can GUARANTEE you that the Supernova POS you guys are raving about costs about $90 to have made in China. All that extra dough you guys are so willing to throw into the air is what gives these guys a raging boner everytime you buy a $1200 light, that they make $1100 profit off of every time. You need to know business, as well as the technology. LED technology IS NOT EXPENSIVE!!!!

Just like any other facet of the industry LED technology has been raping folks of their cash. It's fairly easy and very much inexpensive to find components and easy too. It's just like HID light manufacturers holding you by your nuts. You can go to an electrical supply and buy the same if not better quality parts to assemble an HPS or MH ballast at half the price HTG or any other place advertises. If not less. LED technology is not new and that's what people are missing.

You nailed it on the head. People think because it costs $1200 it MUST be good. Makes me laugh...lol.
