What am I smoking ???

Just out of curiosity ,what does it mean if all the bud I getting isn't sticky at all ? I mean I remmeber a time where just about all the bud I got was always sticky some just barely sticky bud and some bud super sticky bud where after breaking it up I'd have to clean my fingers in order tp roll and not rip the blunt leaf or joint paper ! Now all the bud I been getting is not sticky at all and instead of having that nice distinctive smell of one strain or another, buds I been getting and coming across all have a dirty rotten skunky smell rather than a nice skunky pungent and sweet as well as earthy mixture of smells . Is it just badly grown bud ? Right now I got some sour deisel and some girl scout cookies the sour looks better than the girls but the girls smoked better and smelled less but still none of the two really made me say wow like back when buds were always sticky and smelly the way I'd expect good bud tp smell like
If anyone have any helpful insight on what I may be coming across please share it with me thank you

Anyway I thought the same thing mexican dirt weed I mean ut ain't sticky but it is green with surprisingly some red orange hairs but nothing more and not much of em either ! And for the smell well it doesng even smell good if any smell at all it smell rotten like it was growm in some type of dirty stale water or some shit. Dry disappointing to me being that I from Brooklyn ny and never before I took my 3maybe 4 year break have I come across weed as bad as I come across today and to make matters and ny situation even worse I have no where to grow eventho I got some killer seeds fem seeds from bc bud depot if anybody familiar with them ?I got enough seeds to smoke myself stupid for a year straight lol but unfortunately I have no where to grow it right now being that I am in my parents house again and nine of my friends wanna help alltho theyll smoke whatever I get lol
Any suggestions anyone ? Anybody live in NYC area that can maybe help me out somehow we meet somewhere get acquainted /friendly and take it from there ? Any help always appreciated lol I in the wholesale coffee distribution business so if u like coffee this will be added to my way of appreciating your help thank you and god bless and happy new year
