Heres some pics of my setup and plants:
P1020847.jpgP1020845.jpgP1020844.jpg

Both plants are nearly 4 weeks old after popping soil I dont understand how you guys have such great grows and mine look tiny after this amount of time.

Info about setup etc:
1x 45w 6400k Blue spectrum
1x 45w 2700k Red spectrum
2x 23w 2700k
2x 30w 2700k
B&Q Peat based compost
Perlite
Tomorite (for nutes)

dont feel bad man i just scrapped my last grow cuz it just wasnt working, my set up looked just like yours...try to make some rerflectors for the lights you are losing alot of useful light...what is your light schedule??

and for veg you want all 6500k bulbs you can use the red spectrum ones but they like those for flowering mainly..and might want to get the lights closer cfls lose half their lumens after being about 3 or so inches away get them close , just keep a fan on them to keep the bulbs cool and good airflow

How much do you water, and it might have been to soon for nutes, that being said i'm a noob but you definitly did somthing to stunt their growth, maybe nute burned the little roots?

About 25-30ml every 2-3days. I dunno the middle leafs seem to be growing abit

You should get a moisture meter, let the soil dry out until the meter says 3-4 then water until you see 10-15% runoff out the bottom of the container. Do this everytime, nutrients every 3rd time for now, and just a little maybe 200 ppm. And get some benifical bacteria, it will help a lot.

Then you are watering too much!!!
Let it dry and turn the damn lights out for a few hours a day, if you soaked me and left the lights on i wouldn't be doing real well after a month either.
200 ppm means about 1/4 strength on the nutes

I'm also very new at this, but I think i can help some. As previously mentioned, you need more 6400k lights and less 2700. you dont need a dark period, that isnt your problem here... get more 6400k lights, put them closer, and get reflectors. here is a picture of my plant after only 16 days. i only have two 28watt 6400k cfls and one 30watt 3500k cfl (all 3 with reflectors, 2"s from the leaves), lights are on 24 hours a day, AND im using MG potting mix.

I think it takes less science than everyone thinks, and more love, patients, and common sense. sorry for the crappy cell phone picture.

smart move now get reflectors. maybe a fan too. i hear not only does it cool the lights down but the breeze strengthens the stems
