What about a simple guide for cash cropping in the mycology wold. DIY

I don't wanna go through the trouble if it falls on deaf ears. I also want the support of the "seasoned" RIU mycologists as well as the repected minds of the chemistry world.

I want people to be confident they are following a surefire way to produce QUANTITY with Quality and Assortment.


My terrarium setup is really cheap and pretty damn effective. Each casing produces about 1 zip every 3-4 weeks about 3 times before it's changed, and you get about 6-8 casings per unit. It's really easy. I'm so confident in it I'm thinking about getting some spores and maybe make a thread or journal about it. I think I have some really good insights for simple minded fucks like my self to get along in the mycology world, especially well in the psilocybin dept.
I really think it could open the eyes of alot RIU shroom newbs and some pros even. I guess what I am saying is I wanna write the sticky that shows RIU members how to "BOOM FARM" Have about 6 strains and function at a lab "Like" capacity while being EASY TO FOLLOW for ANYONE. With my DIY easy to maintain terrarium build and a few simple yet ULTRA KEY tips to maintaining it. In 2 months hopefully I'll show RIU that boom farmin' is actually much easier than growing pot!!

Sound great mate!, my vote is get typing if not many people see it right now it doesn't matter, once it's out there many interested will stumble across it and an easy to follow guide is sure to gain the interest of both those in the know and those that know fuck all like me lol, good solid info and tutorials are getting rare around these parts mate.

I like your enthusiasm! The main reason I wanted to do a poll and question thread first is to gather the attention of those who know more of about the actually functions. As I'll be posting a how to guide for near 100% proficiency, I do not have the "Formal" education to empower me to answer any questions on the biological nature of the function of each step. I know how it works, I know it works, But why it works, I feel could be better answered by someone like Canndo or MrEDuck. Without their or other like minded help i feel my tek will lack some of "FACTS". It should as be stated, I have done everything I intend to share first hand, I have Learned the functions of each step and feel as if I could make a fine "Teacher from Experience" I feel with out proper support some of what i have to say may get lost in translation or hang people up. I know some people will not follow advice others who lack formal education or haven't made their "mark" here on RIU.

just providing an easy to follow guide would be great mate, the questions and answers that follow from there will fall where they will and the thread will go on, no doubt there will be both discussion and arguments but I wouldn't worry about that the more info in the thread the better and hopefully the guys that do understand the biological reactions will chime in, if they don't not to worry the important part is that you took the time to share an easy to follow guide that you yourself has had success with. I and many others will be greatful for the read, I can drive my car but don't know how to fix it mate don't worry about those that know more as long as your way works that's all that's important.

I just dont want my full tek posted, then someone comes it with an idea, posts it, and does't say why it works or their intention of posting it. I guess Im saying I would want the First post to be the COMPLETE TEK WITHOUT THE NEED OF IMPROVISING OR SUBSTITUTION. And be a "One" source guide to eliminate the need to do your own homework.

I am going to have to try a could things prior, mainly an depth comparison of Popcorn, Wild birdseed, Whole rye grain, and whole rice grain. Im a rye kinda guy but I wanna make sure it sill has the least amount of possible failure. I believe this to be true, but I haven't tried popcorn or whole rice grain yet. Whole rice grain I see the most promise in btw.

Fair enough, I see your concern, and you make a valid point. Well I am not a stranger to RIU. I've been an avid poster for over 10 years. I was banned about 4 years ago for an unsettled argument with the site developer. This argument was about money. Nothing more sinister. So I took a break, made a new name so i could lurk the forums for info and maybe a quick joke. I have been extremely busy managing a nationwide construction company, so my life kinda got put on hold. Now that we're caught up on projects and I have some time off. I chose to nerd around on RIU!!!

Sadly the Cashcrop tek and the Meth tek are my only ways to contribute. Well I can grow pot but I think most of here can already do that..

I think it's great that your even willing to offer your time and knowledge. the more knowledge shared the better in my opinion.

So far more people have voted yes for my Crystal Meth Tek than my Boom Farm tek. Just food for thought

get them both up mate, if people don't like it then tough, you have me seriously intrigued now and I need to see how to do both, chances are high I'll try the boomers if I can find a spot for them, the meth not so high but still ya never know lol

I doubt the meth tek is gonna fly, but that is the reason I posted a poll for it.

The reason I haven't just went gung ho on the "Boom farm" is that I would need spend some cash to properly convey the tek. I don't wanna spend money and just get passed over. In all likely hood, ill probably go ahead with the boom farm as soon as I've selected the strains. I'll probably post the main tek at Shroomery.org and make a discussion thread on RIU with a link to the original thread. The reason I would do it like that is because there isn't a mushroom section here. I really don't see RIU putting up a cultivation sticky, no matter the content, on the Hallucinatory substances forum. Almost as if the HS thread was intended for more of a Toke n Talk subforum.

One of the reasons so many learn to grow mushrooms is in order to enjoy the symbiosis between themselves and this marvelous organism. It is one thing to sell to your friends in order to defray costs - quite another to make a hard profit on the the mushrooms in question, it is also highly illegal. We depend upon the low profile of small grows for one's immediate surroundings - it is quite another to have a "cash crop" made from these sacred fruit. It is much like selling communion wafers - bad karma, and the mushroom may teach you lessons as a result.

I would not dare make a large profit off of these. Stick to oysters for your profit, or turkey tails or try your hand at shaggies as I am doing. All perfectly legal.

Well it's hard to say no. Around my way, boomers are an untapped market. 10 a g all the way up for the homie hook up. I've seen people pay 50 an 1/8.

I am looking into morels more and more lately. Problem is they taste so good! I see self control being an issue lol.

The intention of the boom farm wasn't actually to boom farm. It was to easily manage multiple strains in one easy to maintain container or terrarium. As thing progressed, I realized I was doing more than the avg. hobbyist. The fact the each unit can be stacked and easily tucked away is where I came up with all the cash crop jazz. If a person was going for shear profit there is a better way to produce grams. But, When was the last time you went to a dealer and he showed you 6 different mushroom strains? My tek may not fall under the definition of cash crop per say, however I feel the variety makes up for any lost footage. Especially when each strain has a different price.

I would love to see a bed type shroom grow with a full canopy covering a nice sqft area. Before I commit to my statement about not falling under definition.
