What a rip off!

So today i started looking into a pawn shop loan against a piece of hand signed Jerry Garcia artwork I have that was hand colored by Stanley Mouse and found out they charge 20% interest per month against it. I wanted to get a second 1k watt to start a perpetual cycle going so I dont have to wait for my first harvest to buy the equipment.

On a 500$ loan they r trying to get 100 buck a month. I couldnt believe it I really wanted to be sick. What a racket, I think im in the wrong business. If a citizen tried to get that rate ona loan you'd be in a world of shit for loan sharking!

Sorry to vent but im just blown away, I dont know what to do about this. Take the loan and hope i can get this shit paid off fast or just wait the 60 days till i have harvest and cured properly what i have now.

the 1k is for the other half of my flower room...my tent is 4x8' and i have one 1k watt in now.

another possible consideration is a flipbox http://www.powerboxinc.com/flipbox.html + hood/bulb instead of ballast/hood/bulb + extra heat load. just needs another tent. personally I'd use a light rail in the 4x8 with a 1000w or 2x600w to save some cost and raise yields still.

pawn shops can suck, but they are convenient and serve a good purpose (can be a pain just to get a $500 loan from a bank). besides, new credit card offers are coming out with a base rate of 15%-35% upfront, so it could be worse. legal loan sharks for sure though

Im really appreciating the help people have offered in the last couple weeks. from eyecandy and disposition to this offer now. Its good to see people coming together to make each others lives a little easier in the world.

pawn shops are not the best way to get money and should only be used as a last resort. most of them are good people but making a nice profit is part of business. i personally would never pawn anything. i only sell old junk that i dont any longer use like electronics. almost better off with a credit card really. just be sure to pay on time or you really get fucked with interest.

We are all in this together, might as well do what we can to help each other out. I am glad this section has the community feeling and the ability to help each other out, i know i have gotten more than my fair share of help off of here (thanks EC), figure i will pass on all i can and hope others follow suit.
