So after sitting on the side lines and lurking all the forum sites for years I've decided to choose one and register. I am a grower out of Oregon state, currently along the central coast. I've grown indoors for 13 years and outdoors for about ten, but not as frequent as my indoor grows. I was born and raised in Washington state up towards the peninsula and a lot of my growing career took place there. I relocated to Oregon three years ago and joined the OMMP. We set up in Beaverton, right outside of Portland and threw a 14' x 16' room with 8,000K watts. With dual 12,500 BTU air conditioners running all day and the lights being vented we still battled the summer heat. Everyone knows that when temperatures elevate, nutrient uptake increases, the risk of cooking out valuable terpines makes an appearence, and often times buds will foxtail or become whispier than if grown at a lower temperature. Basically after two years of that crap, we relocated to the coast Unfortunatly for us we do not have an indoor room set up at the moment, and our outdoor garden got a late start. Hopefully by November our indoor room in very much complete and in full veg and everything outside is harvested. Our outdoor garden consists of five Platinum Purple OG Kush plants, three Jack Herer plants, one BubbaWreck plant, six C-99 pineapple cut x Sour Queen plants, and two of Subcools Agent Orange. They are all in a coco mix and inside of our greenhouse being fed the BioBizz line up with some other additives. Everything has just began to flower as I wasn't able to force them early this year because of my schedule and all the chaos associated with moving a grow opperation. Our indoor grow will range from 4,000 to 8,000 depending on the amount of vegging that I have going on at the moment. We will also continue with the production cloning and supplying other card holders with stellar genetics from our production cloning facility. We were up over twenty strains last year so we decided to flower out all of the mother plants and only keep cuttings from a few chosen strains. Here is a list of what made the cut; Platinum Purple OG Kush which in this case is Platinum from Tacoma Washington crossed with SAC#3, Obama Kush which in this case is Master Kush crossed with pre 98 Bubba Kush (also my avitar picture), Subcools Agent Orange the tall and resinous pheno, and BubbaWreck which is pre 98 Bubba Kush crossed with Trainwreck. We plan to add OrgnKids Blackberry Kush, Positroniks Blue Rhino, Delicious's Fruity Chronic Juice, and Subcools new seed Qleaner. We also have some clone only strains that we are looking at selfing and adding to our stock. Since we do not have an indoor grow currently going, we are unable to do a journal, but I will begin an outdoor journal as our crop begins to flower. I have to figure out how to upload pictures and all of that but I am sure it wont be that hard. Again I just want to say hello to the RIU community and hope I can pay forward some of the knowledge I've aquired over the years from other growers most people consider legends. Keep things frosty until next time...
