I made a vow never to lay hands on him again after I almost beat the crap out of him a couple of years ago when he mouthed off and said "fuck off" or something like that. So I told the wife he's no longer welcome at our home. She can go visit him.

Anyone knows if I put the babies to flower starting today, if any turn out to be male, would they pose a threat to the females after 1 week? We will be leaving this Thurs and returning late Monday. Can a male fertlize a female after 1 week of flowering???? We were just going to wait and put them to flower in a week after we got back. The plants range in size from 8" to 18". We have 2 that are about 8" and the other 3 are all over 12", with multiple nodes.

no way. they usually take about 2 weeks just to start showing signs of sex. then it takes a while for the little pollen sacs to break open and release their pollen into the air. you're safe as far as that goes.

Me Id see if I could find a trustable fellow friend smokwer see if they were interested if not I'd get rid of it and wait at least a whole year before trying anything again. Do the big show about destroying the whole thing and how it was wrong.Think about the next time you can try but also if the step daughter is uncomfortable and there you may just have to do it off location.

Eesh, tough one, sorry to hear about your troubles, hearmenow. Got an attic? I'd think that your route of chucking it and making that visible to the critters would be a good double-blind. In the meantime you could (whilst they're not about) start setting up again in an attic space, but that still desn't help you with the fact that your babies are doomed. I dunno, could be that you may just have to chuck it and look for another space. Sorry man, I know I'd be gutted.

Thanks to all for your feedback and best wishes. I've decided we are gonna see the grow through. I'm still very worried but the more I think about it, I don't think they are going to sell me out. I made a HUGE show on Sunday night when all the shit went down of breaking down the OLD grow box. I made a shitload of noise and threw stuff around. My stepdaughter, who's 19, told my wife that I must have been really mad because of how quickly I got rid of everything. So in her mind, it's all done. Now she needs to pass that on to my punkass step-son, who in turn hopefully will pass it on to the neighborhood punkbitches. We live in Florida but not in a small town at all. I won't be any more specific than that, for obvious reasons.

Anyway, I decided to finish up this grow. As I said, I took my growbox, and placed that inside a larger outdoor storage box. I installed a lock on the outside box. Very little light escapes at night. My intent is to place our gazebo over this general area to reduce the direct sunlight and heat buildup. Both boxes are not hermetically sealed and have sufficient creases and holes to allow venting. I also have an extractor fan installed in the growbox. I intend to buy a temperature gauge later today to measure the heat in there. This is the best I can do for now and hope for the best.

I've posted a couple pics to illustrate what I'm doing. You can clearly see how I've placed the growbox inside the larger storage box. I've left other storage tubs inside the area and I intend to pile gardening supplies, like my whell barrow, bag soil, etc., around the area. What do you all think of this setup?

I'm still worried about heat build-up. I may have to buy another bigger extractor fan and put that on the storage bin. I have a portable wall unit AC that I bought in case of hurricanes and if I had time before I leave, I would look into stealthily installing that on the storage box. Hell, I may give it a try this evening anyway!

the sun is on a natural 12/12 cycle right now ...any way to let the sunlight finish the grow for you? probably reduce the yield but a lot less heat.
