But its true. I would rather have a candidate that says what is wrong vs one that the tows the party line and says its good for you , na na na I can't hear you. I'd also prefer a candidate is is fallible like the rest of us and can learn and change from mistakes.

Oh me too, but during an election taking digs at the cancer society could become a major issue for the party.

Trudeau still stated his stance hasn't changed on legalization and why, which are valid points. At least he didn't flip flop all together.
To me it's more about damage control and distancing the party from controversial comments.

she just has to learn how to say things properly.
Its like stating that cannabis oil 'cures' cancer. In reality, it 'kills' cancer tumors.
That fact alone is used by people around the world to study herb.
Is that a cure? One would think if you got cancer once and nothing changed, it'll come back again.
So the statement of it "curing" can put people in jail in not only our part but other parts of the world. Making out right "claims" have to have proof behind them.
There is no proof that anyone has been able to state this fact, other than the ones who have been successful in killing their cancer tumors.
All anecdotal of course.

:)

they're all quacks of course selling and promitting snake oil eh....oooooo ohhhh snakkke oil.

I know my sarcasm is worse than @WHATFG

It's time to quit being so fucking politically correct...none of these people are better than me...I think that's why I like Elizabeth so much...she said something to the effect of reaching across party lines to find common ground and working to achieve the common goals...Ffs...I heard her say legalize and tax!!!

There is only one party against any form of legalization.
I know it's an important issue for many people but the election is about far more than just pot.

Every party drops candidates if skeletons are found in their closets. She just happened to make some comments about a highly respected organization. May she be right about her claims or not, the things she said could be extremely detrimental to the party.

It's just politics.

They shouldn't be detrimental to a party that said they were prepared to legalize...

What happened to a party leader saying "the party doesn't endorse her views, but we respect those are her views." Instead it's more of the same "get out of the party you don't belong here". How the fuck are the liberals going to be any different than the conservatives?

I'm done with this party lines bullshit. You vote in someone to represent you in your region, then they join the party and start towing the party line regardless of whether it's in direct conflict with the platform they ran on. If that's how this lady feels, and more importantly her constituents then how can they remove her? Makes no sense.

So far the Liberals have shown absolutely 0 backbone. They have shown they will swing back and forth to tell people what they want to here. How long is their legalization plan going to take? It's not going to be any time soon at this rate.

While pot may not be an important topic in the grand scheme of things the Liberal party made this an election issue. Now it's fucking them everywhere they go.

Vote Trudeau for more of the same. I am starting to think we won't see legalized cannabis under Trudeau. He's pandering for votes, once he gets elected it will be "oh pots to dangerous".
