well water through a water softener

i have a r/o system on the way from a friend. this is just a little system that was under his sink that may hold 2 gallons, im sure this could help.

i have read else where that the softener was bad for the plants ( salt )...?

so my loop is heavy duty filter , softner then it goes to my RO filter them ne or my plants the less ppm the better

thanks abud, so the r/o is only the under sink unit but has what you show and the two 3 gallon tanks. ill have to get a pic tomorrow.
