weird question of molasses as fertilizer, i use tap water so i leave it out for 24 hours to de chlorinate it. now my question is that if i mix 1 oz molasses into 1 gal of water can i leave half of it unused since i only ever water with half a gallon at a time? or should i just make a half batch but be less precise with the water measurement

Thanks in advance and +rep

I think what i'm really asking is if i mix the fertilizer and only use half is the rest wasted or in 3 days would it still be fine? would there be a proper way to store it?

You don't want mixed nutes sitting around very long. Molasses is not a nute or at least not much of one. It helps your soil feed the plant.

good question....i would only make enough for the watering that day,and just make some fresh stuff for every time after.....i had this problem recently, wher i was mixing a lil of my nutes with the molasses, and i wouldnt use it all in that feeding,so i saved it for next time,,well that shit got really cloudy and stunk..sour.....i didnt use it i just tossed that shit and made new stuff every watering..

Thank you guys, was the common sense answer i came up with but wanted to double check. I may be the only person here to actually use there to room to grow tomatoes so i'll give them some loving and sugar, but MJ first

really??? thats kinda an odd hobby i thought apple trees wouldnt fruit for years. i dunno but i actually grow jalapeno and cucumbers with the exact nutes in the same flood table as my MJ. all 4 snow whites are flowering nicely and i already have 6 or 7 cucumbers. its a small variety that produces like 4-6" cucs \
pretty cool though
