weird growth turning leaves crispycrispy

Hello rollers! Today I am looking for someone with experience to chime in and maybe together we can fix this beauty

Im growing Chupacabra in soil(regular garden soil from the local gardeners), perlite & vermiculite. The growroom temp is 76-78f with 40-45% RH. 4x 24w t5 6500k. The plant is 3 months old, 2 feet tall in a 10L pot 1 feet tall. She had a slight hard wind blowing on her for a couple of days untill i got a smaller fan.

The growth looks like its eating her up. There are no bugs I can see with my eyes here. It almost seems like it is turning lighter and getting some tiny white spots but not powdery to my eyes.. And the leaves affected the most turn crispy.



What should i do?

What's your ph and what nutes are you using?

if you have mites, you'll see them like little monsters with a pocket scope.

What growth is affected? Older, newer, or everywhere?

We need more info. Ph, nutes (as bthegreatone asked), pics of the whole plant (better to diagnose) including the underside of the leaves. Reason is because if there are multiple symptoms from several possible deficiencies, or toxicity, it would be easier to narrow down.

How do I find the ph inside the soil? Ive got a ph test kit but its one of those you fill with water and add2 drops and the color shows the value.. Should i give her plenty of ph adjusted water and check the water in tray catching the run off water?

I am currently using general hydroponics flora series 9ml bloom and 6ml micro. Ive given her this about every other watering wich is every 2-3 weeks she gets water every 10-12 days almost. Putting my finger in the soil upto the first knuckle, if its dry there she gets water.

Its only hitting the lower fanleaves those that got the worst of the big fan for a couple of days. It also looks like newer leaves tips are turning yellow very very tiny.

Also these cuttings i have taken are standing right next to her. Like this, without a humidity dome, the dome was causing root rot so it had to go.

When you water/feed her next time catch and test the run off from each plant. Check the PH of the run off. If it is too low, then u want to raise it and vice versa. For example, if it is 5.6 u will want to get it to 6.3 so i would as 6.5. If it is over 6.5, add 6.0-6.1.

The yellowing tips is because of some kind of deficiency. I dont know EXACTLT which one, but I had it too. I fixed my PH of the soil and all my new growth is doing great!

Try it out and if any new problems arise let us know

P.S. How long have they been in this soil? Are there any perlite? If it has been in the same soil for a while, have u flushed it at all?

All of my corrections and steps are in my grow log in case u r still confused

I have added 35% perlite to the soil and 10% vermiculite. Its been in the soil for 3 months+ and has never been flushed. I thought u only did that a couple weeks before harvesting.

And every watering she get until 20% runs off.

Salt can build up thruout the grow. Especially if u go as long as u have. That is why i use RX GREEN nutes. They r weak, but they dont build up salt

Manganese toxicity

Based on what information do you think it is manganese deficiency? I looked it up and I cant see the similarity none of the leaves are turning yellow from the stem and out.

I wont confirm or deny manganese deficiency but i applaud you for doing research and asking a more experienced grower why he thinks thats the case without just telling him he is wrong.

Definitely check the ph. If its off it can cause your girls to stop absorbing nutes.

The problem has been found, ph of our water has been around 8. The run off water was at 7. So i gave her a good watering with ph 6, checked the runoff water and it was slightly above 6 close to 6.5.

After doing more research I found that Hyroot very probably is right with manganese toxicity. Manganese oxide is not absorbed right by the plant if the ph is high. So I have to say you have a really good eye hyroot! Respect.

Based on my experience and ability to read plants and been through it all. Theres different stages of each deficiency. Magnanese deficiency always starts out blotchy like that.

FYI that's iron and sulfur defs that yellow from the base not magnanese. When you use Google images. Read the info on the image first.

If it were a ph issue you would see lock out and clawed leaves.
