Hi Guys, I've got 2 Cherry Pie Kush seedlings about 8 days above ground. They were making steady progress but the last 2-3 days they seem to have stopped growing and one is drooping it's 2 real leaves pretty heavily.

I've got them under 4-2' t5 HO 6500k, about 12" above the plants, 18/6, RO water every 3 days, Exhausted cabinet and a fan gently blowing on them, very gently. They were both watered the same pretty much. Last night #2 needed water so I did water. The droop is happening whether wet or dry soil.

Also I changed the cups they were in to black, from orange because the orange lets in light and I didnt know that when I started. Kind of a transfer without upsetting the soil. I held the plant/pot upside down and while holding the soil with my 5 fingers, gently pinch the cup a little to loosen the soil from the cup, remove cup, check roots, and put the black cup on. The roots seemed to be growing well, they went all the way to the bottom of the soil and then snaked around just a bit. I was figuring this would not shock the but maybe it did. The dropping one was drooping before, but they haven't grown on top much since I did that.

I'm wondering about changing the cups. If I did wrong?

Also wondering if I can give the plants anything to help them along. Maybe a cal/mag? I got a sample last night as the shop. I heard the RO water ay be a little too pure? Someone was saying add cal/mag up to 80ppm for seedlings. But I've seen much more people say just RO water only for a while.

I'll get some pics of the plants today. I'm watching their progress (or regress) with motion capture so I can see changes, and they are completely still this morning, no top progress. Yesterday the same.

they may have just stalled just now while they expand their roots. Mine sometimes fell like they stop dead in their tracks. It's so frustrating. But once the roots grow the plants starts to come back with an explosion of growth

Here's #2:

Here's #1: Needs watering, weight is 70g, from 170g watered. I'll probably water this one this evening. By the way when is the best time OF THE DAY to water?

In the morning(when your lights come on)

Awesome, thanks for the advice. I'm hoping it's not moisture stress, because I just re watered #2 last night. I think she's perking up this morning actually. Last 30 minutes she raised up her leaves a little. It's so nice to immediately see changes with the motion capture.

Maybe I should wait to water #1, she's been at the dry weight (70g) only through the night. Would you suggest I water it now or wait a day??

Also I've been misting them with a very fine mist about 2x per day. The fan dries it off in about 10 minutes. Is that good to do?

Misting and watering too often will lead to over watering. I'd stop misting. Yeah go ahead and water #1. The more i think about this and with your last post i'm thinking it's transplant shock. I'd confidently say by tmoro they will be fine. If im wrong give me a shout and we will go through everything step by step and find the problem. Misting is a good way of getting water to the plant fast. Oh and when u mist, Mist the under side of the leaves as this is where they breath

Just wanted to update this. Thanks for the offer ClosetGardner.

So I've been dealing with this for a few days now, the plants were growing very slowly, if any. And they both started drooping, one very badly. No water condition, dry to moist, is any help.

During my last post, I bought a heat mat and have been thinking the temps are to low for seedlings, especially at night getting close to 60f. The mat itself didn't help much, but I set the mat on pretty low (75f) because I didn't want to damage anything last night or today while I was at work. I leave from 7am to 7pm so my setup has to go pretty much uninterrupted during that time.

Yesterday they were very dry, and last night I watered them. Also added light calmag to my RO water (shop advice and free sample, score), and I was expecting something to happen today. I noticed today by 10am they were doing the same sad thing.

I was ready to go full on humidome on them by tonight if I didn't see any progress during the daytime. Got the idea to call my wife and have her unplug the exhaust/filter (can9000 with a vortex 4" set on as low as it will self start). 3 Internal PC fans still move air around. Well within about a few minutes literally, they started perking up, and kept on for about 6 hours. After that not much, and by time I got home a little more droop.

I got a humidistat, and within minutes I found out I was in the low 20% without the exhaust even running. And it may have been lower because I stopped gaging then and took action. I made a tray with water in it and put the pots in the tray, but elevated them on plastic risers, so the water doesn't go into the pots. Then ran the temp probe for the heat mat right into the water, and set it on about 90f, luke warm.

It's been like that for about an hour now, and they're perking right up again. Below I attached an animated GIF of a half hour of frames.

Wondering what humidity I should target? Right now the humidity is at 41% and has been there for 15 minutes. I'll see what it ramps up to by midnight at lights out.

So, low humidity. Check out the GIF, kind of cool. They are the 2 in the shorter cups.

What do you guys think will this work out? Oh yeah and I do have the exhaust going on now only for like 30 minutes every 3 hours, to refresh the air.

Hi there fyre, looking at the gif, they perk up the most at 41%. Optimal should be around 60/70%. To try and raise humidity, put a sponge in the tray of water and aim one of the pc fans so it blows over the top of the sponge. This will help dissipate the water into the air faster. Your baby's may not be able to transpire (breath) as as they want to. You can also hang a damp cloth/ dish towel in the grow space to raise Rh. Hope this helps a little mate. Peace. CG

Just an update they are doing freaking awesome today. #2 just exploded today. Four new baby leaves.

I didn't get the RH above about 41% lights on today so I'm trying a fan blowing on the water as you suggested. It's at 40 and rising already. Every time I open the cabinet it plummets to the low 20's.

I'm kind of bummed this heat mat I got doesn't seem to be able to even keep the water luke warm. I set it at 80 but the water was cold this morning. Plus last night still read 66 degrees low temp. I'm going to turn off the fan lights tonight. I kept them on last night because I was worried the lights would get steamed, then turn on and pop or something.
