Week 13.5 and still not near harvest

I started 2 FastBuds Californian Snow plants, the first one was harvested around week 12, the second one started flowering when I noticed a pH issue. I resolved the pH issue and the plant started growing again but it also started revegging some as well with small smooth single leaves. Today is midway through week 13 and it’s still flowering but still has tons of white hairs and the buds are fattening up painfully slow to the point I’m not sure they’re even getting fatter. Anyone have experience with this? I know FastBuds is supposed to be a really reputable and quality breeder.

Hi man, not an auto guy but don’t think autos can re-veg once flower has induced… have you checked trichomes with a microscope? Temps, humidity all in check? No signs of stressing.:bigjoint:

Pictures tell a thousand words… if possible. Doesn’t sound good with smooth single bladed leaves tho

When the new vegetative growth started it was pretty early in flowering. Here’s some pics though video shows much better, it wouldn’t give me the option to upload a video. Most trichomes are clear or cloudy using a microscope , humidity around 40% temp around 68-72 F

Does look a bit like it’s re vegging, strange.. it is what it is. Will be alright to smoke but somethings afoot

I switched her to 12/12 since I read that can sometimes help autos finish up. I also think the temps are getting around 65 F at night but it’s supposed to be a colder climate strain so I’m not sure that’s keeping it growing slow. I’m open to suggestions

Beautiful plant….and not close to ripe. I’m growing 3 autos, also from a reputable breeder. They actually said 9-10 weeks seed to harvest….they sprouted Oct 13 and are still not ripe. Don’t ask me why…..all of my experience is outdoors. Growing inside under LEDs is something I just started. But I do know how buds develop and and have watched my fair share go from start to finish.
Often times buds will put out another wave of pistils….and this is a good thing. Your calyces will swell and if you have the patience to wait, your buds will be that much thicker, denser and heavier.
My plants are still growing. They’ve had mostly milky trichs for nearly 3 weeks but no ambers, except a few on the sugar leaves but they don’t count.
They are also not on the same schedule. One is very close and may get chopped this weekend. All the white hairs have turned orange and receded as of yesterday. I’ve spotted a few ambers and will wait on maybe 20-25%.
The other 2 plants are a week or two behind. But rest assured, they are ripe until those white pistils have receded and turned orange/brown.
i was just having this conversation with another guy whose plants are at the same stage.
I’ll post a pic to illustrate what I’m talking about. First pic is Jan 14, second one is from this morning. Zoom in and look at the white hairs in the first pic….then look at the same spot in the 2nd pic. That’s what u want if you truly want next level ripe buds.
Most grows are ended way too early and those growers don’t really know what ripe bud looks or tastes like. U could chop today and you’d have some pretty buds that would smoke ok if you cured them properly. But they would be light yrs better if you let them get really ripe.
Good luck. C6B7D129-0FAD-4AB0-B396-4960EA0D5888.jpeg264925BA-75DA-48A8-A2AA-F94359DC10E5.jpeg

Man i just zoomed in and studied your plant. What are you feeding? Cut out any cal mag if you haven’t already. Otherwise I’d continue to feed her….light doses. And I like the idea of going to 12/12 with your light.
I’ve been told One of the reasons my plants have taken so long is my temps were too low. I use a full spectrum LED and always ran temps in the low-mid 70s. Apparently 81-84 is ideal.
But honestly I believe some autos tend to behave more like a photoperiod plant and yours is one of them.
I know u don’t wanna hear it but I think it’s just gonna take more time. A lot of photo strains will flower for 12 weeks or longer before they are ripe. If yours is in its 13th week, that means it’s only been flowering for 7-8…….I mean where u actually had buds formed. That means u likely have a month and it looks it to me.
The good news is those buds will get much bigger. Keep ‘em fed, reduce but don’t eliminate N altogether…..and I’ll bet over the next couple weeks they start to take shape.
I really wanna stay tuned in to your grow….so good luck and stay patient.

And one more thing….my trichs have been mostly cloudy for weeks now……let the plant get ripe and then look at trichs. The grower may put the cart before the horse, but the plant never will. She’s not gonna suddenly go all amber if she’s churning out new white pistils.

I’m lost. Who told the op he has autos?
Op. Autos do not re veg.
I believe he has autos….at least it sounds that way. I know nothing about plants re-vegging…..does it look to you like his plant is doing that?
Beats me….I thought it looks like the plant is just throwing off a new wave of pistils (or stigmata, whatever).

Thanks for the feedback, I have been feeding cal mag because at one point it looked deficient. What tipped you off to recommend stopping cal mag?

Earlier post states re veg. Actually couple of posts. I read the entire thing. That why I said what I said. Pics look a lil weird. Like reveg started. And went back.

It looks more like it was stunted in flower by excess nutes and pH issues than a reveg. What were you feeding?
