Looking for some info on this strain.

I've read it has herm issues, not sure if that was only from a particular seller. Also unclear on flower time (from flip), have seen 9 weeks thrown around but not sure if that's from flower onset. Also, what is it like being topped and does it do ok sitting on around 850/900ppm?.

I have been running a few wedding cake BX1, some did show herm, some did Just fine.
9 to 10 weeks I try to take them to from flip.topping is good, that feed sounds good.

Is it the entire strain with the herm issue?. How many did you run/lose if you don't mind.

It has a few reports of herms/lower balls..

I found 3 nice ladys, one did have lower balls, but not on the clones runs of her.
Did you rip it or finish?. I've seen some people finish off herms for personal smoke. If you did, how so did yield suffer?.

Some nuts can form on the wedding cake. They’re not that potent though. Might end up with around 1-2 beans per pound, sometimes none.

I usually take this cut 10 weeks(from flip), but 9 is fine too. Top early and top often if growing larger plants. Oh yeah, she’s a stretcher too!

Heavy buds easy to trim. Love it.

Maybe I got lucky, found two phenos from 6 seeds. Zero issues in flowering (but I do remove all lowers in flower due to running high numbers of plants in small spaces), very popular bud, vanilla cakey terps which follow through in the smoke, heavy stone. People love the hype though....

Your #5 looks nice.

Them terps make the rosin I squish from the untrimmed lowers(not many on the cut) the best. All of a sudden everyone i know wants my wedding cake rosin. Could hardly give rosin away a year ago lol.

Yeah #5 is the keeper out the two for me, #4 tasted great straight from the chop but the cure on #5 was amazing, also larger yield.

I can only imagine the terps off the rosin, made my mouth water just thinking about it lol

Genetically, herming usually doesn't happen with wedding cake strain but to reduce the risk of it happening make sure all staking, pruning, etc (basically any kind of stress) is done long before it creates buds. This works really well with most strains 90%+ including this one.
Hope that helps.bongsmilie
