20150521_183613.jpg 20150521_183624.jpg So for the past week it's been gloomy in Denver. Not much sun with an average temp of 60 during the day and 40 at night. My green house at its coldest is around 53. I have not watered for 3 days (25 gallon pots) and probably won't need to as the soil is still moist. I come home from work today and find my plants drooping. I believe it's a combination of low sunlight and the soil being moist for days do to low temps and low light. Any ideas?20150521_183624.jpg

How long have they been out in the greenhouse? They may be a little shocked by the cold temps and low light if they came from indoors recently. If you can get a small space heater in there and get your low temps up closer to 60 with some air movement, I think that would help. Pretty much everything in my yard looks like your plants right now! Shitty wet spring here in Colorado. Good luck with your season!

They perked up a bit this morning. It's been about 2 1/2 weeks outside. I have a space heater that I set to turn on when it gets to be low 70s. also have a propane burner but it works a little to we'll and keeps the green house around 90.

yeah they aren't going to have issues they will be fine.. i see the heater in the room probably a good idea to have it set for the next few nights theres some cold weather coming overnight this weekend depending on where you live. just have it kick on at like 70 that way they aren't battling really cold wet roots.. thats the real culperate is the soil getting cold.

i like the greenhouse........i have to ask you this.. I've never had a green house.. does the wood inside have to be treated or sealed somehow so moisture doesnt get into the wood and create mold? or is that not an issue?

I used treated wood and sprayed a mild anti fungal. I plan on using a plasti dip spray when I change out the plastic next year. I also coated the bottom in a type of paintable tar. Seems to be working.

The greenhouse is 12' by 16' and 10' tall. More room than I need unless my 6 plants are pulling 4 pounds each. It cost me around a thousand and 4 days labor with me and my buddy.

Ha ha! It may seem big NOW...but if all goes well you will be surprised at how little room you have in late Sept. Don't let plants grow against the roof or sides as it will foul the buds.

I hope my 6 plants take up 200 square feet. That's a lot of herb.
