weak stems

i planted mine as small sprouts in miracle grow potting soil and they started growing very nicely, they got tall and are very leafy, but their stems on a few of them are starting to get very weak and one or two plants are begining to fall over and just droop to one side or another. what would cause this? my setup is in a closet with a flourescent about 5 or 6 inches above all the pants in their own pots on a tray, no fan, maybe thats the problem?

you don't have enough light...or there too far away from the plants...and having a fan blowing on them really helps alot...for now take a straw, slit it down the middle and open it up and wrap it around the stems placing the straw in the soil gently for support...but get that fan blowing.

Not only that but since your using florescent your gonna wanna keep them about 1-3 inches from the canopy in order to keep them short and busy for veg since this an indoor grow. Also a fan is VERY important I keep mine on 24/7 not only does this allow better ventilation but it will strengthen the stems as they blow back and fourth and fight to stand up strait. Its like working out an arm....lol. Really it is though.

its because you dont have a fan. and m.grow soil is shit, just use normal potting soil with perlite/vac. and have you also been feeding too.
get a fan get some perlite and soil/ you need a fan and start again. the fan makes them stronger, like the wind does, outdoors
