We Should All Have This Problem

The cola was getting too big. About 12 inches, or 31 cm, I forget which. It was starting to bend the main branch. If it fell over it could land on some of the many small side CFLs, causing burning and ruining the massive cola. So the cola was surgically removed and hung up to dry. This allowed for the lights to be moved about, and more light on the secondary buds. The question is: How long can this go on? Will the plant continue to grow, fatten up, and mature? Or was this removal a last ditch effort and the whole thing will be finished in a day or two?

You're absolutely correct, about the staking. The main cola looked done, though. How long can the rest of the plant continue on? Another week or two?
i cut my top colas when they look ready around 7-8 weeks(indica) and let the bottoms grow out for another 2 weeks, 5 days with nutes then flush again. works for me personaly.
